I have been experiencing the same thing.
Using iPhone4 with iOS5, never JB before.

Keep on searching for network.
When finally found network, I couldn't send SMS, sms keep in "sending" mode.
I couldn't make call, when press Call icon, phone will hang at dialling mode.

freaking frustrated.
Any help?

I have the same problem too! I was all fine until 3 or 4 days ago and then it got worst! Had been using iOS5 since the day it was available and the problem only started 3 or 4 days ago. I have tried to reset all settings in the afternoon today and everything went back to normal. But, when I got home, the problem came back again! rclxub.gif Rebooting / reset network settings doesn't help, so I had to reset all settings again doh.gif

Anyone knows how to solve it? It is so annoying and frustrating. sad.gif

Man..I'm stuck with 'No Service' since morning...can't do a reset since mine is Tethered jb.
Manual searching takes forever...it will revert back to Auto after a while...
Sure my boss and wife gonna screw me cos cannot contact my handphone today  sweat.gif

I hope the IOS5.0.1 is cure the problem

I don't think iOS 5.0.1 is the solution. Updated to 5.0.1 last night and the problem is still there. sad.gif

The way I know that solve this problem temporarily is to restart/reset the device... It worked on my iPhone...
But it seems doesn't work on yours... Maybe your case is even worse...

It worked well at first, then on day 3 it got worst, totally non-responsive no matter what I did - reset network settings/reboot. Sigh...........

The actual problem is with the ios 5 & 5.0.1. Downgrade the ios and problem solved.

I've updated to iOS5 the day it was made available and did not have the problem at all - until 4/5 days ago. mad.gif

I've also googled bout it and found that some users at other countries have exactly the same problem way back in 2009 and 2010, so iOS5 might be causing to the problem, but not the actual problem I reckon. (Just my POV, I'm not a tech savy) smile.gif

This issue happens to me sometime.

While fb'ing or browsing on Safari suddenly the signal becomes no service then it goes searching and the line is back. Not sure why this happens though. quite annoying but i'll live..

Don't worry mate you don't have the issue as we do. What we experience is, regardless what is shows (No Service / Searching / My Maxis/Digi) the phone function is not working. U can't make a call, or the call hangs, and when people called the phone is just not ringing/vibrating as if no call is coming in.

My friend and I both on iPhone 4 and upgrade iOS5 at the same time; we both have iMessage activated.
My iPhone suffered from this problem twice already (1 restore in between)
However, my friend's iPhone still working fine until today.

This problem really happens too random.
Need more observation and investigation.
Since you suspect its iMessage causing problem, have you tried turn it off and see if problem persists? blink.gif

I have turned it off on mine, problem's still there.
