Take it easy there boss.
Do you want them to hire people with C.S degree to go around installing routers? Just offer the guy some drink next time and let him install the stuff and go. They are not required to cable to your computer either. You do your config/cabling.
It's my relatives PC. I'm not there so I help them thru phone. If we can't use the internet, that's our problem? But they even ask that he can connect using Lan cable so that's part of their scope of work.. CS degree? I don't think so. just a certificate IT can do that.

LOL, I guess they are not trained in WinXP. Best thing to say when you dunno something? "Cannot be done"
The 2 young techs who came for my UniFi install were quite ok though. Even talk about bittorrent and downloading warez and movies. Even use my Mac to setup the BTU and router. I still remember a few years ago when TM techs will all freeze up when they see or hear a Mac.
Added on January 10, 2012, 1:30 pmDon't be surprised that some of the UniFi installers are degree holders. Though not necessarily in CS. On a side note, all the techs at my wife's company are degree holders, CS & Eng, and they do go around installing routers too.
There's always a help line for them..they got colleagues to ask rather than saying window XP canot connect at all.

O.o Ur pc got wifi adapter or card? But what windows 7 has that Windows XP doesn't has is wifi driver. 7 supports most wireless card readily upon installation. Tak tahu~
It's a PC with a Wifi Dongle. Already installed with the drive and etc.
