Got a call from the technician saying my Unifi installation has pushed to earlier date! biggrin.gif from Jan 3th to Dec 26th biggrin.gif:D:D:D.

Just wanted to ask anyone uses home plug that plugged into extension? Is it stable for normal usage?

This really depends. I didn't have one but quite a few reviewed that here. Some manage to get it working. Some won't even work. If you haven't gotten one, look at the "pass through" type. It is placed between the wall socket and extension. Where there's a socket on it.

Something like this: http://www.aztech.com/prod_homeplug_hl110ep.html

Not sure about the quality though. You might need to do some research and see how it goes. May have other brands having same design too.

Well i straight go for the gigabit one... which is the HL280 or something, i've heard from my friend who work on network industry saying the signal won't be that great, but for normal usage it should be fine.

Think this thread will have more people responses on home plug instead of the hardware Q&A, i've decided to take the HL115EP after some reconsideration, at first was going after to HL280E but indeed it has some overheating issues.

I have a question, lets say if i were to get HL115EP which comes with AC pass through, if i connect an extension plug into the HL115EP, will it affect the power that are going to be given? The extension will be connected with a PC, monitor, speaker and a printer.

Calling home plug users, what are the ms you guys getting when you ping your comp to your router when its connected to home plug? I'm getting 2ms in 8-10 jump, then suddenly 1x ms, then back to 2, is it normal?

My setup were like this, 1 home plug that connects to router plug to extension, then another one home plug in wall socket into 2nd PC.

Finally gotten Unifi installed in my house, VIP5 users here, super super duper satisfied with the speed, now i can stream 1080p live streams from www.twitch.tv without lags, torrent download most of the time 500kbps +/- (has a lot of seeders), loved the contractor as well, very friendly!
