I don't think you need to pay two months in advance. My case was they installed around 10th of the month. So they will pro-rate the bill. My first bill was RM79+ which was waived due to the promotion and then second month bill will be RM149 - 70 so the one month waiver already credited. Following month is normal RM149. I also get RM2 rebate for auto payment.

+1.

Applying online is better you can check the status with your online account. Plus you won't be blindfolded, in addition you save RM149! RM149 I can change to Asus router tongue.gif. I attached a screenshot of the status updates you can get online, to be honest the online system is efficient I can check my bills and do auto payment.

Yup if you apply via online, you will get the rebate. It works like this, for this month since your installation is in the mid month, TM will waived the pro-rated first month bill and the balance of the waiver will be deducted in your second month bill. You can check your bills online once you get your first bill.

Are you referring to my case or? By the way, I've asked TMpoint officer on the free 1 month subscription is only applicable for VIP 20? OMG
*
For your case is if you applied online you will get the rebate for any VIP package not on VIP 20. I am using VIP 5 I got the rebate after applying online. Your case if you go through reseller you won't get the rebate.

I've already get my 2nd bill yesterday and it accumulates another RM149, no adjustment or whatsoever. I was wondering do you received paper bills as I only get online bills for this 2 month duration.
*
I get both kind of bills online and by snail mail smile.gif . Firstly I need to point out to you that "free one month subscription is only available by online registration and not 3rd party resellers". I have asked one lyn unifi dealer that person told me if apply via him/her there will be no 1 month free subscription.

If online application you still don't get the rebate you can call to check with TM.

Yeah. I think that's a huge mistake I have made. So every subscribers yet to get an official receipt from snail mail right? Because of the online bills keeps accumulates the amount to almost RM500 in between 3 months really makes me shiver whereas I didn't get any snail mails from them. Is it good for the me to sit back and relax and pay when only I got the paper bill or ??
*
Don't wait for the snail mail to reach because online bill is the accurate one. Also you are not getting the snail mail because the person/dealer who applied for you may have opt for online/email bill rather than paper bill. Technically not TM's fault the paper bill does get send to you as you can check online at which is your own responsibility.

Just got Unifi. Got a question though.
Normally, if I'm using the usual modems, I'll disconnect the phone line during heavy rain.

What about for Unifi? Seems like the only cable that I can disconnect is the one leading to the modem, but that's where the exposed fibre is slotted in.
*
No worries about lightning strike coming through the fiber line because only light can pass through fiber optics and not electricity. For me I fit a surge protector to protect from lightning coming through the power socket.

I have the same setup as the earlier post. Equipment all in the 1st floor of my house. I then used Aztech 110EP (200Mbps) for my IPTV downstair, it works flawlessly. For my another room downstairs, I bought HL208E (Gigabit network), however homeplug pair for internet and movie stream is disappointing. I cannot stream 720p HD movies and internet connection is not as fast as compared to computers upstairs. This could be due to the electrical noise and distance. So it depends on the wiring of your house.

hi guys, i have a question to ask.

my modem, router are all downstairs and my STB is upstairs. I bought 2 homeplug, 1 is normal 1 for downstairs just to send out signal and upstairs i use with 2 Ethernet port homeplug http://www.aztech.com/prod_homeplug_hl110ew.html

since the Aztech HL110EW got 2 port, i plan to connect 1 to my STB and 1 to my PS3 via ethernet cable, but what i dont know before i bought the homeplug is STB only can use on port 4, and port 4 dun have internet connection.. so if i want to play ps3, i need to go downstairs and connect from port 4 > port 3... and if i want to use the STB i need to connect to port 4 again

any solutions for this? i would like to play ps3 while using the Unifi STB at the same time...thanks guys smile.gif

I encounter the same situation as you. The best workaround is to get another pair of homeplugs for internet or get another router to work as a repeater and connect to your ps3.

getting another homeplug is quite hi cost bro.. lol.. the Aztech HL110EW is already a wireless Extender/repeater i think so maybe i connect to it to have better signal.. actually i buy this cos got 2 port, so thought use cable would be more stable heh
*
Yeah it is costly. However a pair homeplugs cannot support two different ports, I was caught too. Not too sure how the wireless repeater works. Maybe you can repeat your existing wireless.

aw man this sucks... no way to make port 4 to have internet connection as well?
*
Port 4 actually has internet but it is a different line which is only dedicated for IPTV. Can't have both internet and IPTV on same port sadly.
