I'm currently sourcing for a stock Huawei ONU with full functionality firmware to check out its ability.

While accessing to TM Huawei HG850a, I can see that the ONU capable set the native VLAN to the port + untag the port... I don't understand why TM do not want to opt for this solution?

Once I get hold of new Huawei HG850a or HG8240, I will check out its function... if everything goes according to plan, we should able to use any router out from the Huawei ONU...

i believe u can use the component cable (RGB), but not sure will work if u use HDMI to ur mon
if ur speaker supports optical input, i beleive there is an optical output on the STB

That's the problem, I don't have optical in on my speakers. Only Analog stereo.

I guess component would be my best bet then.

Anyone tried connecting to unifi default router using their samsung Note or S2? Seems like the speed is unstable...some times i can't even do a normal speedtest. Occasionally I get to do it and it performs great at 5MBPS..

that's odd, a monitor with hdmi port without an audio output port

maybe is the earlier models from the time when hdmi just available to PC monitors?

hi there,
almost a week im using unifi. and i spotted something that feel a bit unconvinience

this happen twice in this week. my pc which using wifi adaptor sometimes recognize my router as unnamed conection. the actual would be like *****@unifi. try to connect unnamed connection but failed. so i restart (not refresh by push a button at the side of dir615). power off, wait for 1 minit then turn on. and there you go, wifi connected with proper name ****@unifi. i think dir615 not so good delivering signals

anyone exp this matter?
should i change router to better one (like tplink)?

Lucky you ppl still "see" the network. When I'm using DIR615, most of my housemates sometime suddenly can't "see" the network, can't even choose a network to connect. Now using TP-Link 841ND. So far so awesome. rclxms.gif
