QUOTE(1282009 @ Dec 19 2011, 10:56 PM) Oops, u are right. I read the terms & conditions again & it's true No packages. You subscribe channel by channel. With quite a number of free but quite crappy channels though.Added on December 19, 2011, 11:00 pm At TM, not agent. They let me give a list of last 4-digit phone numbers that I preferred which subject to availability. Waiting period is about 2 weeks but they confirmed my area has Unifi service. Anyone know for the list of channels, do they have any packages or we need to subscribe by channels after 1 month of trial period? Here you go http://www.unifi.my/hypptv/index.php?optio...=342&Itemid=280 |

Here's a tip for those planning to apply for UniFi online at unifi.my. At the page where you choose your phone number, you can keep refreshing it to get more numbers. Of course, the pool of available numbers is limited so eventually they'll start to repeat.

Mayor should have 1Gbps connection something funny is when the contractors done installing and doing the setting, he turn around & asked. "moi, 5 ka?" i said "ya..." should have said "sepuluh la..." QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Dec 20 2011, 09:31 AM) Sorry... I didn't know that kind of setup before. But it's kinda expensive, for the RB750. Get 8960 if you want wifi. Else, get 250 if you don't need. |

Think this thread will have more people responses on home plug instead of the hardware Q&A, i've decided to take the HL115EP after some reconsideration, at first was going after to HL280E but indeed it has some overheating issues.
I have a question, lets say if i were to get HL115EP which comes with AC pass through, if i connect an extension plug into the HL115EP, will it affect the power that are going to be given? The extension will be connected with a PC, monitor, speaker and a printer. This post has been edited by kEazYc: Dec 20 2011, 02:54 PM |

Maybe its a fully uncapped dedicated line to a GPON 2.5Gbps port from the OLT. |

QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Dec 19 2011, 05:47 PM) Not very possible for my case as my network port is Gigabit ethernet, unless i wan downgrade my ports to megabit ethernet... Since you don't want powerline HPNA and any wall drillings, the most economical but appropriate way is still to run a dedicated CAT6 all the way to your TV. You don't need any contractor, just buy enough CAT6 cable with the right length, cable casing, and good double sided tapes. No nails are needed! Don't forget the network crimper!I can probably give it a try with normal ethernet cable and see....then maybe i can make some sort of a customzied patch panel....thanks for the idea! Cross talk should be minimal as majority of the cable are still twisted, and essentially the signal is still ethernet signals.... I'm going to have hell trying to squueze 4 wires instead of the usual 8... Now where is my network crimper... I'll let you all know once I try it... Even better for neat job, there are such things as thin strip Ethernet cable and plastic fibre in the market today for home networking. Run the cable casing around the wall lining for minimum visibility and you'll have your gigabit capable network. Super flat cat5e, Shielded Cable ![]() Or you can route POF - Plastic over fibre for Home Networking. Swiss Telecom uses this method for home installs. Even amateur can do it with a simple kit set with plain scissors. With some effort you can conceal the cable like it's not there by hiding under the carpet or wall linings below. At Ipoh here I can ask my reliable electician friend and he's willing to do it with material provided for just under RM20-30. That even includes climbing up my roof if he needs too. He does it very neat too This post has been edited by iipohbee: Dec 20 2011, 04:41 PM |
