The problem is, the telephone port is on the other side of the wall (Non-TV side of the wall). There is no way, that dragging a long telephone cable to the TV-wall (which I am trying to avoid). Therefore I am unable to place the BTU on the TV-side of the wall

Anyway thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it. I am still brainstorming for a solution...2 weeks before the unifi installer going to come...
So I think you're on VDSL instead of FTTH. Hmm... Why don't you try to look up if you can find any way to wire RJ-11 to RJ-45. I think it's possible if it's done right. Then you can make use of the LAN Cable you already installed to "extend" your phone line to the TV side. The switch wise, replace it with a wireless router or use homeplug to link the router and switch.

u mean if my version is N12 then i cant use the Asus router? then have to use something else, i.e. TP link as such? ok later i check... i now outside...
hm.. those channels, i bet they want money also, if TM get license from them? wishful thinking, how can astro monopoly, we want competition!!! lol, and astro = raining no hope, many times, watch till kanjeong part, rain, no signal -FFFUUUFFFFF
N12 got two revision (like books... Same book same name they come out with Edition 1, 2, 3, ... ... with a minor to major change in the content).
The guide provided by KLSEET is only legit for N12-B1 (refer my post before this to identify the hardware version). Only hardware version B1 will work to replace the router completely. Anyway, you can still use the N12 if it is not B1 but this time, you need the TM given router as a "Bridge" for your N12 router.
