guys..
is it worth trade in my htc desire for samsung galaxy W..?? i facing problem on my desire, the rom space after install gingeread and htc sense only left up 150mb..install 4,5 app already get warning sign saying internal storage out of space..i know galaxy w have 2GB rom but how many space left after install the gingeread and touhwiz interface..any1 have this info..share with me please..

agree with CyberKewl. You must bear in mind that new phone from Samsung and LG offer 3 layers memory for phone which is internal memory, internal SD (/mnt/sdcard) and external SD (/mnt/sdcard/external_sd).
where other or old phone have 2 layers which is internal memory and external SD (/mnt/sdcard).

when download gameloft games, data file is save at default directory ( /mnt/sdcard/),
it is save to external sd card for 2 layers memory phone but comes to 3 layers phones (SGS,SGS2 and SGW),
it save to internal sd, so only 2GB can use for games.
must root, or use 3rd party apps to mount or patch ur games file only can move to external sd in SGW.
bear in mind. >,<

(I think this should include to the detail of the phones in top post, some people might don't know about this information.)

Hello my Friends. CA-CAM-BO ~~~ XD
I'm been insomia since I bought SGW. blink.gif haha.
on bed at 12am and able sleep on 2am. lol
and woke on 630am for work ( currently trainning)
here is some report.

charge from 1030pm Thurs until 630am Fri.
Unplug as 100% battery, use for android market (damn can't download battery widget) but after 30-40min wifi on and downloaded 1 battery status widget from market. battery left 93%.

then 7.45am reach company, play my phone (photo, hd mv, call my sister once for 1min) for 30-40min until now 8.30am,battery from 91% drop to 85%.will update more later.

don't know how to kill bloatware ( running process such as social hub, google services, goole map ..etc). icon_question.gif
I think those are the 1 drain battery.

and my battery widget got full status ,which 100% will last 1d6h standby, now 85% it show last 1d1h, 3D game 1h57m & 2D game 3h38m. ( just data showing from the battery widget)

I use GSM only, juice defence normal, screen 10%-20% brightness.3pages of widgets.

for call issue, so far so good.
even with 60-70% volume still loud and clear. =D
haven't try the sms yet.
wifi is fast, my hs using streamyx 1mbps.
bluetooth also quite nice.
HD 720p mv is good, delay 1 sec while forwarding ( might due to class 4 memory card)

but 1 bad thing is the message ringtone I cannot switch to my mp3 song while phone ringtone can. cry.gif

have to wait for 1-2weeks for battery and accessories.
anyone bought SunGlobal battery before?

My battery seems to last a bit longer this time. Running in flight mode, network mode deactivated.
From 1 until 8 this morning, the batt level drop to 76%.
Surf for 30 minutes, MP3 for 30 minutes b4 let it standby.

Any1 knows how to move the application from other screen?  If you long press the apps, it will place the apps to desktop instead.
Where do you set the phone profile such as general, meeting, silent etc.  Any shortcuts for that setting?
*
press application , press the button left side of main button, then press edit. then u can move you apps and arrange as you like. tongue.gif

Hi, just to share, for viewing battery percentage, an app from xda-developers called circular battery can be used. It creates an extra icon on the statusbar for viewing your battery percentage. it looks quite nice to boot!

u tested the call? if mine is post-paid what setting should i disable so that i won't get charges for on9???
*
ya. tested. loud and clear as I wrote on my review you read just now.
do u read clearly. =,=" blink.gif

either prepaid or post paid, i guess is same setting ( correct me if I'm mistake) hmm.gif
>>setting>>wireless and connection >> mobile network >> untick "use packet data" and "data roaming".
I did this and no charge apply.
cause when data is roaming, you can see some icon like "H" or "3G" with up and down arrow beside you battery icon at top right.
initially I insert sim and start the phone, saw the "H" or "3G" ,after disable "use packet data" and "data roaming".
it's gone and no charge apply. so should be right. XD tongue.gif

and I also set the network to GSM only.
when need for video calling only I set to Auto (2G/3G).
cause wanna save battery. brows.gif

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Nov 11 2011, 10:26 AM)
But strangely, when I used my Galaxy SL (2GB available internal SD), when I installed games, they go straight to the external SD.  My internal SD is largely unused except for Papago which ate up 600MB+.  The other apps all I map the path to the external SD and I had no problems (Titanium Backup, etc).

One reason I can think of is that if the game completes downloading and installing, it may move to external SD.  If the game can't even finish download due to insufficient space in internal SD, it will fail.
You can also change the alarms.

SDcard > Media > Audio > Ringtones
SDcard > Media > Audio > Alarms
SDcard > Media > Audio > Notifications
*
No man. I think you are using root right? Since you have Titanium Backup.
using Titanium Backup totally no problem in moving those apps.
but without root and those apps like Titanium Backup We cant move it.
and We don't wanna root our phone. that's why its a concern.

how about

"menu -> Setting -> applications -> manage applications ->
then choose the application u wanna move -> move to SD CARD "  ???? blink.gif

ya. those should work. But many said gameloft games can't. (without root)
so I still wonder. perharps after I buy my 16gb sd card then I try for solution.

I'm back. Yeah.

battery last very well.
from morning work ytd 845am (85%) until 6pm (65%), as I keep use it for sms, picture, hd video for around 1-2hours. consider fair well.

back home install gameloft games and others games.
work fine in moving external sd without root.

wifi, download, gaming, sms from 7pm-12am, battery drop from 60% until 16%, consider good as heavy use.
if not happy, will just get a 2000amh battery or what. ;D

cheer ~
