I have installed Firestorm Filter and Firestorm Super Booster on my Honda Civic 1.8 (FD1) and below is my observation and review:

About the Seller (Peter): Fast and responsive and passionate about his product, down to earth and explains his product patiently and accurately, he will not over recommend his product.
About the product: I have installed the Firestorm Filter first and tested run it for 1 hour, my car idling seems to have improved 80%, vibration when AC compressor kicks in seems to be lessen but still there, there doesn’t seem to be too much drag and loss of power when AC compressor kicks in. After that, I couldn’t wait and installed Firestorm Super Booster.

Installation was easy as there is a picture provided by Peter precisely for my car model. When in doubt, you can always take out your car manual and look for the fuse box diagram and identify the “Ignition Coil” fuse location, unplug it and plug in the booster. Of course, after that you can’t fit the booster inside and fuse box and close it, I placed the booster outside, and close the fuse box cover but the wire of the booster will be squeeze in between, best if can cut a small opening at the fuse box for the wire, but mine works just fine and I can close the fuse box tightly as we can’t let water get in there.

After installation of the Super booster, man oh man, immediately I can feel the car can rev up happily and I can feel the car is so much more powerful. My car is so much more fun to drive; the drag from the AC is completely eliminated even though I still can hear the compressor kicks in. Drove to Penang last week, the drive was so easy and fun, easy to rev and go up the hill even when at high speed, not much revving needed and you can feel the car still has a lot of power under the pedal. One thing I notice is going up hill, some how the car is very willing to go up hill without dropping the rpm. Fuel saving wise….need to monitor of course but I doubt I can save much because I am enjoying my ride so much, I happily just accelerate my car. But I will continue to monitor next few weeks using my normal driving style and same route to go to work and back. Was thinking to test it on my wife’s Honda City, but I want to enjoy a few more weeks first in my car, will test it when I have the time and write another review. Currently the Honda city is having some jerking problem, see if Firestorm can help to eliminate it.

Overall I am a happy customer and these products are definitely worth every cents of it, by far my best mod for the car. By the way, I am using volt stabiliser and ground cable. No interference at all and I just leave it there.

I will post this same review on Peter’s Firestorm Filter thread as I am using both products.

Hi bro

Thank you so much for taking time off to write such a complete review.

And thank you for your kind comments.

You should have called me when you were in Penang. Would have liked to meet up with you in person.

I'm really glad you like the performance increase with both the FireStorm Booster and Filter in your car.

Enjoy your drive and drive safely always.

Cheers.

I installed this item before, firestorm booster. Below are the incident and experienced that I encountered.

1) I would like to say that it's really improve the car response.

2) However, when I drive in the busy city, the car suddenly engine stopped. However the car is still in the moving condition. I stepped my brake so hard (is very very hard since the brake pump is reducing their power after engine stopped. Another thing is the steering become damn hard to turn and almost impossible to turn....

The actual problem which cause the engine stopped was due to the fuse on the firestorm was burned and cause the car fire ignition stop function. (then i able to take out the spare fuse to replace the fuse on the firestorm). I feel very embarrassed that my car was stopped in the middle of the road and also my life is in the danger as well.

It's happen on me 3 times, (the other two times was in the parking lots.) After all, i dismantle this item although spent quite some money on this item.

END Of STORY

I had remove the firestorm but I did took some pictures on this. I'll try to dig the photo out and this incident already happened on me 1 year ago. I'm here to share about my experience and this may happen to other customer as well. I'm not a risk taker since it happened on me 3 times and I'm not seek for the fourth.

Did you buy the Firestorm from me or from other dealers? Did you install correctly as shown in the installation photo that they sent to you?

None of my customers have any such issue at all.

Please Whatsapp to me when you can.

What is your car model and which version of the Firestorm Booster did you install? Who did you buy the Firestorm Booster from?

You should have contacted the dealer who sold to you to get help instead keeping quiet.

I give full after sales service to my customers even when they change cars and I give them the installation instructions to fix in their new car.

Cheers.

Yup, i did contact the dealer. not sure whether is you or not. My ride is persona 09. I install the item by following the instruction from the dealer and always keep the firestorm avoid the water contact. After this incident, the dealer ask me drive my car to his shop to show them. But I'm in JB now and he also willing to exchange it One to One if I drive my car to his shop but....it's the same item again. He also can't tell what cause the fuse short. Hence, I decided to remove the firestorm in order to avoid future fuse failure.

PM me your Name and HP No. I can check from my database. I have sold over 2000 units of Firestorm products in 3 years so cant remember everyone but have to check my database.

Ok. I found out the real story already.

Your elder brother bought the Normal Firestorm Booster from a dealer in Sungai Petani. He installed in Tesco Sungai Petani about 2 years ago according to the dealer.

Just not too long ago your brother contacted the dealer asking to change the Booster to the Filter because your brother said the fuse blown a few times in that 2 years he had the Booster.

The dealer said can only change the Booster under warranty but if your brother wanted the Filter then can give him a special price for return customers. In the end after a lot of disagreement the dealer also changed the Filter.

The dealer tested the Firestorm Booster and confirmed nothing wrong with the Booster but out of goodwill he changed another Booster for your brother. The dealer used the Booster that your brother claimed had the fuse blown 3 times in his car without any problems until today.

There is no way that the 20A Yellow fuse can burn out. I have a case where the customer installed in the wrong fuse socket and the car electronic circuitry that supplied power to the fuel pump drew about 15A current caused the Firestorm Booster to overheat and deformed but the 20A fuse still cannot blow out.

So if you say your brother had the fuse blown out 2-3 times then the Firestorm Booster will be open circuit already and definitely wont be able to function anymore. But the dealer tested and confirmed nothing wrong with the Booster.

I have said many times before that I am the promotion and marketing arm for the manufacturer of the Firestorm products and I have all the contacts and info on all dealers in Malaysia. I will know the truth once I make an investigation into the matter.

So as I understand from the dealer that your brother said his car was in KL and even after getting the Filter he did not immediately install into his car. Maybe he installed after some time later.

So this whole issue was created because your brother wanted the Filter instead of the Booster which he bought about 2 years ago after he heard we had launched the Firestorm Filter.

I believe we must be fair that we tell the truth and not take advantage of the dealer's goodwill to get what we want in a wrong way.

Our dealers have always stood by our Firestorm products warranty and will replace any faulty unit after we have tested and confirmed that the product is faulty. No one will replace a product if it isnt faulty, not for handphone, computer or any electrical devices.

This is now a clear truth about the matter and I hope that all my existing customers and prospective customers are reading this and understand that we are always fair in our dealings with our customers.

Cheers.

QUOTE(aun1986 @ Nov 26 2014, 02:32 PM)
First, I'm the driver and the one who faced the fuse burst and I'm the one who asking my brother help me get one from SP dealer.

Second, the story was created and the story is a real case.

Third, for me I think Firestorm Booster is really a good item. I rather take the Firestorm Booster in stead of Firestorm Filter.

Fourth, I never said the firestorm got problem. Only the Fuse easily burned out. Look, I'm the one who encountered this issue. Yes, it's yellow fuse and the fuse is really burnout and cutoff and I confirm one time in d middle of the road and two times in parking car lot (one in my house and one time in the shop-lot in JB and that time was 9:00PM after my gym and luckily able to find and accessory shop nearby and been con for RM3 for one fuse).

Look, what I can said is my installation is no problem and no one know the main reason which cause the fuse burst either is too hot or too long hours of driving and no one know.

I'm here to share about my experience and the incident. You can say that there is no customer complaint and encounter this issue before and now I'm here to tell you this thing happen on me. Please take note if someone driving half way and the fuse short....and he can't fully use the braking system and not even turn his steering due to hydraulic pump stop working. I almost crash into the tree because I can't turn my steering and I stop my car by using hand brake.

So now is time for you to investigate the main issue which cause the fuse burst and if you can't find the issue then just leave it. AGAIN, I'm not taking advantage on your item exchange policy.

Cheers.

Yes all the points you put up are valid.

The information I got is from the dealer which is probably a one sided story.

But since your brother had requested the Filter to be changed in place of the Booster so I can say that the case is settled.

If any customers do experience the same issue as in this case then my advice is to send the Booster back to the dealer for it to be checked by the manufacturer.

DO NOT replace the fuse and continued to use it. You can always pull out the Booster and just put a fuse into the fuse socket and drive withoutthe Booster.

It is not wise to replace a blown fuse because a blown fuse indicates that something went wrong and need to have it checked out.

We provide warranty on our Firestorm products so our customers should receive what they paid for.

Cheers.
