QUOTE(bereev @ Jul 25 2012, 08:50 AM) Hi bro Thanks for asking. The demo rig had been designed to run at full 100% duty cycle and shows the super powerful spark. In actual engine run, the duty cycle would just be a fraction of this hence the spark plugs would not be subjected to such huge sparks. The sparks are long and thin which means the voltage is high but current is low. In order to melt or wear out the spark plugs and ignition coil, you would need high current while voltage is irrelevant. If you are familiar with welding transformers, you will know that the current is as low as 70A right up to over 500A for welding. However the voltage can be as low as 6V. This is also why fuses are rated in Amps as the current when exceeded will burn out the fuse element. In the video, the sparks were hitting the metal bolt of the plug as the spark gap had been widened past the length equivalent of the insulator so the sparks would jump to any grounded metal part. The corner grounding electrode had also been removed to widen the spark gap. In actual use, the insulator is outside the cylinder block and there is no way for the sparks to even jump past the screw threads due to the corner grounding electrode that is set at max 1.1mm only. The FireStorm Booster will NOT damage any electrical components of the engine or cause engine noise into the sound system. Most cars after 1985 use CDI electronic ignition and the FireStorm has not killed any electronic ignition components since it was designed and sold. Most advanced car designe after year 2000 are fitted with Coil-over-Plugs which offer better sparking and the FireStorm Booster works just as well without any issues or damage. I welcome constructive questions and I appreciate your questions. This is very good since you ask so that you would be able to learn and understand instead of making irresponsible and untrue statements that would. confuse others. Cheers. |

QUOTE(clrtout @ Jul 27 2012, 07:22 PM) bro, can i ask u something... Hi bro No, the FireStorm Booster if installed to the correct fuse connector for your car model as advised when you purchased, will not cause the CEL to appear. It will also not interfere with the piggyback ECU as the ignition coil does not have a closed-loop sensor installed to it. Cheers. |
