Hi, Im new to mechanical keyboard and I wonder if ps2 to usb cable can be used for mechanical keyboard to achieve NKRO key? Which means that I connect the keyboard's ps2 port to a ps2 to usb cable, then use the usb port on that ps2 to usb cable to connect to my pc. Is it this kind of connection can make the keyboard to roll NKRO in usb mode? Or it is just some stupid thing that cause no effect to the performance of the keyboard?

QUOTE(Human10 @ Feb 1 2012, 05:52 PM) What stated above is correct. A normal ps/2 NKRO mechanical keyboard if used USB adapter will only achieve 6KRO. Thats also the reason you will see those mechanical kbs stating ps/2 NKRO, USB 6KRO. However, there is some more complicated cases: 1. Deck Legend which is ps/2 NKRO and USB 6KRO doesn't allow the use of adapter. Which mean the ps/2 model can't be used onto computers without ps/2 ports. 2. Razer BW is a USB 2KRO keyboard which doesn't allow the use of adapter too. You are limited to using USB. 3. Modern China/Taiwan made board such as Noppo Choc Mini, Ducky G2 and Keycool 87 are ps/2 and USB NKRO. Mine is noppoo full-sized. I see the box there written 8键无冲突. So i was wondering if da cable can b used.

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Feb 1 2012, 11:06 PM) My FILCO can detect more than 6 keypresses at 1 time for certain combination under USB. What I mean is that, pressing more 6 keys will result in more than 6 characters on the screen. But upon checking with the Aqua Keytest, it still shows 6KRO. Probably something to do with the way the firmware is written, but I can't tell for sure. Huh? Even filco also can only detect certain combinations only for 6KRO? My kb also can detect some combinations only for 6KRO. I tot it is supposed 2 b can detect any combinations for 6KRO? Any sifu noe this? Plz teach me so that I wun buy the wrong board next time >.<

QUOTE(Human10 @ Feb 3 2012, 02:53 PM) Go GeekHack and search for "RIPOMETER". It should give you an idea of why we stated so. In short, it is measured(non official) by placing weights(coins) on the key till it depress and then register in your computer. For official measurement, I guess they are using devices like depressing gauge meter. I just curious on the "g" but not devices to measure it. why they must use g. or is it this kind of keyboard reli depend on gravity to deliver the full performance?
