i don't trust buying from 7bit.

the colemak set i bought came with 1 backspace meant to replace the capslock key, but it was for the wrong row. It was SP's mistake so ok then.

I was then told by 7bit that a replacement would be provided in the next MO, meaning i needed to buy another item, even if i did not want/need it, in order to get my replacement backspace for my colemak set.

I wasn't too happy about but, ok, i wanted to get a halfmod key to get the ctrl and alt keys, so when i ask about ordering this, my order wasn't taken. There was no response about getting my replacement key either.

In summary, as long as 7bit and friends get what they want, screw everyone else. So the question here is, can you trust them to deliver ? I don't not anymore anyway.

still using my ducky dk9008 G2 tiger limited edition via usb for nkro and with cherry mx brown switches:}

=^-^=; still good.

ps2 is acceptable, but usb is definitely better for convenience. Sadly not all usb implement nkro, and even if they did, they aren't usually implementing it correctly which results in quirky bugs.

Happy to report mine works fine ^-^; although i haven't tested if it works on a mac though. I heard it didn't.

looks cool.

But although mine isn't a led backlighted keyboard, that is ok because i would not use my pc in a dark room without any lighting. That would worsen my eye sight hmm.gif

would it be possible to do a poll ? in the first post of this thread ?

Since the mechanical club now has quite a few people with mechanical keyboards, do they think it made any difference ?

or did they regret buying it, and would have rather stuck to rubber domes ?

Another interesting poll would be which mech keyboard brand is the best ? hmm.gif

GUys why people go gaga over dyesub keycaps?
Also can die sub keycaps be other color than white?
*
i got some Cherry corp dye sub keycaps.

Basically the print is using dye which soaks into the plastic so it's very hard to wear. The contrast probably doesn't beat double shots thats for sure. But it's good enough.

Over all it's better than pad printed icon_rolleyes.gif

double shot can be used on abs plastic. Whereas dye sub can use on abs, and pbt.

In terms of durability pbt is supposedly better. This is why dye sub pbt which i have are much sought after.

oh dye subs are usually 3-5 times more the cost compared to doubleshots.

Anyways for first timer i think they will be happier with doubleshot nod.gif cheaper than dye sub too.

Dye subs don't work on ABS.
The ABS will melt after the Dye Sub is done.

chuah you got the same situation as me. though i got the windowed scroll lock and num lock matching colors. they are cherry corp keys, but the windowed versions don't have double shot letterings. only the window is sort of a double shot mold doh.gif

capslock window i got as well, but the shading is different doh.gif so looks weird.

for my ducky keyboard, the f9-f11 also have led windows. I had to harvest those from a cherry corp keyboard separately doh.gif

so yeah it does look awesome, but it's hard to find replacement keys for the led windowed ones doh.gif if you find a solution PM me as i will be interested to know as well nod.gif

i bought my wrist rest with the my ducky mech keyboard.

honestly after many months using it, i think it does make a difference.

it feels so much more comfortable typing using a wrist rest during long hours.

Of course people with a tight budget probably want to skip it and just focus on spending on the mech keyboard. But if your a serious typist and want to do your hands a favor, get a decent wrist rest.

I've used the ducky wrist rest for many months, and i really like it. For me it's comfortable typing.

i also endorse either cherry mx red or brown :} both are good for typing and gaming.

If you want clicky sound..... yeah you could go blue, but it's not my taste doh.gif
