On top of that. They had some serious(as much as 30-40% price cut for keyboard) sale from time to time.

(Insert Digit or N for unlimited) KRO is the correct way to say it, while Anti Ghosting is a marketing gimmick word used by gaming company.
*
Infact, they do had different meaning.

The original term "ghosting" means that prevention of random keys popping out(without being pressed) when some random combinations being pressed.

The erm "X"KRO on the other hand indicate how many keys can be pressed(and registered) at same time.

Ghosting may still occur with a high "KRO"(rare case).

Though, ghosting is rare to occur even in those cheap keyboard, even more rare in most-branded mech kb.

Yea, today go lingering at digital mall, AllIT selling Thermaltake mice and keyboards, the G1 is RM599.... i think it's a Mionix rebranded.... and at that insane price, then there's the smaller compact edition (the layout that Human10 wanted), but with an big-Ass enter key, that one also need RM449 if not mistaken... so it is major ripoff of us locals.... doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
Yup, and it existed even far b4 it's brother/clone(namely WASD, Mionix Zibal 60 and Ozone Strike). Since they had the same appearance and probably from the same "mother", their quality should be about the same, which is quite decent. The cheapest among them should be Ozone Strike(only available from Taiwan store from what I saw so far), around RM 270 b4 ship(the only different should be lack of wrist rest(can be get from WASD though, LOL) like TT Meka G1 got).

Yup, those prices are indeed insane + ultimate form of ripoff, almost 2x the price of what it being sold at Taiwan(armygroup and inpad).
For the 90% TT Meka, I doubt if it is from Costar OEM too as it's lookalike/clone(IRock 6230) is made in China, details can go the below link to check out(in Chinese though):

*
Cheap or not, it is subjective to your own budget/thickness of your wallet whistling.gif

Though IMO, it should be quite worth it. The price of it(ducky shine) in Taiwan/China also around the price, somemore even no info on the free wrist rest yet so far.

the price range almost same as what BW Ultimate is selling. So chances that there might no big change in internal. But who knows? blush.gif

Though, one thing need to be note. Local distributor normally priced those rebranded razer stuff(such as Dragon Age 2) much pricier than normal version.

I suspect this is a stolen one, since you say it look new and even smell new,
does it come with receipt? or box? and the ps/2 convertor? instruction manual?

if his friend ask him to sell, it should have the box and receipt.
if not it might be stolen stuff, you should investigate this, imagine the one who lost this item, he sure very sad.

suggest you ask the seller does he have receipt? or box? and the ps/2 convertor? instruction manual?
if he say no, he might be a thief.

you can check the serial number on the keyboard, and try to ask steelseries local distributor who bought this keyboard,
they should have record for warranty purpose, and tell them you suspect that this is a stolen keyboard
and try to get the contact of the original owner, then let him know you buy this keyboard from this guy,
and ask him should he wan to report to police.
*
LOL you are too skeptical... sweat.gif

The seller claimed that the keyboard is a gift from some contest in Singapore last time, thus it probably won't had any record with local distributor.

Also, the organizer also had rebranded it(printing those "AVA" prints) it and thus even more not necessarily for it to come with all of it's content. AFAIK, it is quite normal for organizer to print their prizes and doesn't give exactly the whole content.

The keyboard also arrived quite new or even unused. It is not likely for the owner for not using it completely, except it hold no uses for him and he planned to sell it.

Last but not the least, not much people in Malaysia actually know the value of "a black and plain-looking mechanical keyboard"... doh.gif

I put my bet that this isn't a stolen stuff.

just hope you are right about it,
but even a prize of a contest should come in a box right?
at least the instruction manual are in it?

if he who won a contest for a keyboard he would know the value of a 6gv2 no less...
"his friend" asking him to sell it for how much? 90?
why he can suddenly raise the price to 150?

From time to time in my fren's shop, ppl are bringing in this sort of "suspicious" item, like cell phone, laptop, psp and others, without charger, without box, without receipt, and such, they are most likely stolen stuff.

Some time my friend scare them off acting like he knew the owner of the item, like "this sticker on the box is stick on by our shop, and it belong to our friend whowho, you thief!" and they run off. leaving the item for us. @@
*
The organiser probably repacked the keyboard and directly put the keyboard inside the bag. It looks strange to give both bags(with keyboard inside) and also the empty boxes.

Of course the higher the offer, the happier the seller... whistling.gif
Also, it should count in the shipping price too.

I also know the case of those stolen stuffs(my frens' relative had a phone shop). Those ppl which are despo at low price + never come back after long time = >99.99% stolen stuffs

LOL at the last part, MASTER TROLL notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Is there a USB NKRO version? don't really fancy PS/2

All ducky G2 board is USB + ps/2 NKRO(mean all keys, not 6/7 as you heard/thought).
Non G2 model(including ducky shine) is USB 6KRO and ps/2 NKRO.

Nope, the length is standard like most modern board. Though, the stem inside is having different spacing, thus mean normal aftermart spacebar can't fit in without some modification.

Also, the spacebar probably can't fit your Leopold too.

I don't really get what you mean.

Actually, what I want to say is that there are mainly 2 types(of course there are many other variations but less popular or even encountered, thus I don't mention them to prevent further confusion). Both types(spacebar) I gonna mention are having similar length as what you normal see on Steelseries 7G/6GV2, Filco and Ducky, which had a length of 6.25X modifier.

The one you found on FILCO, Ducky, the translucent KBC keycap posted above and other KBC keycap(ABS & PBT) are having same standard and position of the "X" stems, thus making them interchangeable.

Another standard is what you found on Leopold, Steelseries, Keycool and some other China branded board, the position of "X" stems are nearer to the center, thus making the type above can't fit in.

i bought my wrist rest with the my ducky mech keyboard.

honestly after many months using it, i think it does make a difference.

it feels so much more comfortable typing using a wrist rest during long hours.
Of course people with a tight budget probably want to skip it and just focus on spending on the mech keyboard. But if your a serious typist and want to do your hands a favor, get a decent wrist rest.

I've used the ducky wrist rest for many months, and i really like it. For me it's comfortable typing.
*
The current discussion is that Ducky Shine is going to come with it's own wrist rest(heard is SS7G alike, not sure how alike though...). Just that it haven arrive and no people had any pictures/details of it yet.

the pbt key caps found in taobao have many different names description in Chinese:
1.无刻 (unprinted? or should it be un-carved?)
2.侧刻 (side print? or should it be side carved?)
3.浸染 (dye? sublime dye?)
4.同刻 (same color carved? I think it is laser carved, but not fill with color?)
5.有刻 (carved??? what is this? only carved?
does it filled with color later? or is it printed?)
and such,

http://item.beta.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10093101518

I placed an order rainbow keycaps (6g/7g), and got it recently, I am quite happy with it.

The keycaps has words on it, but it is not carved in to it, nor like the original SS 7g's abs keycaps which are slightly bump up in the wording,  I am not sure which one are mine, can any one give a clue?
*
1. Blank(mean nothing is printed), AKA otaku by FILCO's context
2. Side printed, AKA ninja by FILCO's context
3. Probably mean dyed/colored keycaps. Thats a way to achieve the "rainbow" keycaps you often found in taobao(I guess lots Chinese in China having rainbow fetish, LOL...)
4. Black print on black or white print on white. You can see it from global.PChome ducky's keycaps.
5. This one not sure, probably engraved and infilled, not really sure as it's meaning is quite wide. After see the pictures given, I guess it is lasered.

If it isn't this type:
user posted image
then I guess it will be 4.同刻 or 5.有刻

The Cherry G80-3800 seems closer to market already.
http://www.waishehome.cn/thread-44125-1-1.html

Preorder already start in Taobao.
here are some more details of it:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=15566596109

I will wait for some review first. This may be my first Cherry-branded keyboard. whistling.gif (though it don't really count as this time it is made in china, by China OEM somemore)...

Lets wait and see how much quality being compromised to achieve such a low price. sweat.gif

TESORO Durandal Ultimate Cherry Red Switch keyboard, USB N-key roll over

Saw it around back then January in China forum by those Chinese which live or had access to US's market. It is now quite widely available from Taobao.

It is another keyboard by iOne, but so far the review/built(from pictures) seems good. Though, I still don't hold full hope on it as almost all iOne keyboard(yar include razer BW...) failed big time b4.

But one interasting point to be note is that there is even a aluminium casing version of the keyboard, not sure when will be launched though. If it really being launched, it should be the first commercialized mechanical keyboard with aluminium casing(on default).

Not sure how much will PBT more resistant to worn. AFAI heard, POM is hard enough and the stem of switch itself is make by POM too. That should mean the least worn on keycaps(but highly worn the stem, LOL...).

Or if you are still worry, you can do it the metal keycaps way - putting a small piece of cellophane tape on the stem first then only put the keycaps on.

On nyancat part, seems like Clyclone and Squarebox made the order. Either way, it is now too late if you are "interested" in it.

My type is among the cheapest one you can found in Taobao(priced at 10RMB each, full set 37 keys for around 280RMB). It looks ugly and the finish/painting isn't anywhere impressive. Surprisingly though, the texture and the touch feel is very nice.
