or you can try to get some sand sponges, which are thick like a dish washing sponges, and it is soft and you can bend it to the curves desired, and sand the curved key caps surface, for sand sponges I never uses water before.

I'm from Melaka... so basically will get it through postage anyways =/
Ahh, dang tough part is I can't get to try those keyboards... my choices is now only RM479 versus RM439... RM40 apart... I know Filco is a premium brand... but the Ducky 9008s isn't that cheap either... worth going for the Dusky instead of Filco? Or Filco is still the best to go for... any QC issues with these?
*
If you are looking for over 90% peace of mind(heard their DOA and warranty rate are really low due to their decent QC), go for FILCO.

If you are looking for more features(USB NKRO, Detachable wire, multimedia keys, LED Backlit and some more) or aesthetic(thin frame, backlit), go for Ducky.

Do note another important deciding/differentiating factor are the type of modifiers used, steel-wire style(costar) or cherry "X" dummy switch style. The first will feel more natural or similar to other normal sized keys while the later may feel stiffer. On the keycaps removal part, the first require a little skills while the former is easy as plucking normal keys.

Btw, don't keeps your hope high, mainly because the one that i receive are sample unit which is the same as the link you provided.

From what they told me, it has been improved, and currently now, first batch of FC700 is currently in shipment proceeding to Korea from manufacturer as we're talking. In the next few weeks, there will be the official keyboard feedback which is not the sample.
*
I was stating that "hoping" Leopold would escape from those problems/flaws faced by Keycool. Cause from the pictures I seemed so far, I didn't notice any/significant offset in keys in the new Leopold. Possible it is due to different steel plate been used(refer to my Keycool review for more info).

btw, the picture shows that the subdye on the left one went deeper. That's mean what? good or bad?

Not sure. I believe the quality/durability is not to be solely judged by the deepness. Though, theoretically, the thicker(deeper), the better. tongue.gif

Ducky 9008G2 PBT Brown switch is RM419 where else the 9008S is RM439 right? I would definitely pay for the extras given that sort of price differences... now just thinking if the Filco Majestouch 2 is worth considering?

Ah just noticed, 9008S is using ABS and not PBT... is the differences critical?
*
Filco = premium stuff
Whether worth to pay for a premium stuff, it is a subjective question with no definite answer. Though, for those who can afford it and bought it, so far nobody actually reported to regret about it.

For Ducky, it isn't exactly the top notch built quality(though most normal and not extremely picky users should find it more than enough). If you faced DOA, do your warranty claim then. If you like the features(USB NKRO, Multimedia keys, simple and sophisticated design), then it still worth to go for it(Ducky).

For ABS vs PBT part, it should not be the deciding factor here.
Backlit keycaps for sure is ABS(mostly) and PBT cannot be made into BL keycaps. Also, the feel and resistant to shine on BL keycaps isn't decided by the ABS part but the black coating/painting on it.

In short, if you want peace of mind and top notch quality, go for FILCO.
If you want more features(BL, USB NKRO, Multimedia keys) or more durable keycaps(Ducky PBT), go for Ducky.

Yes, USB 6KRO and p/s2 NKRO for Ducky Shine.
You probably confused cause it is hard to explain both(Shine and G2) together.

Added on January 18, 2012, 9:35 pmBTW, fullsize Ducky XM(alps) is out.

It is ducky.
Apart from Ducky, iOne and Razer.
The other better choice should be Deck Legend, Mionix Zibal 60 and Durandale.

EDIT: Forget that there is still Corsair and Noppoo out there.

Added on January 19, 2012, 10:08 pmThe price should be roughly the same with other Ducky Shine model, except if Ducky decided to market it as Dragon Year special edition or what, LOL...

Call it a topless design(as of Neo Zelia 87).
Seems really not bad as long as we won't touch the metal part when typing.

Yup, the guy is a senior member from GH, called "Keyboardlover"

I think he probably the first and only westerner(non China) to get the board, LOL. He isn't too happy with it cause he paid over 130USD for it, which he can already go for the much better rated WASD... sweat.gif

Not sure if it is his(technical) problem or really some problem with his board, as he isn't very expert in technical part(he firstly didn't even know need to insert batteries into the keyboard).

Eitherway, the Neo Zelia's wireless isn't something impressive too. From what I heard in China forum, the wireless really can't make it.
http://www.waishehome.cn/thread-42095-1-1.html

Though back on the built quality part(soldering, PCB and so on), it is quite promising and nice.

It can be a good alternative for those who look for mobile mech kb yet Poker layout is too limited for your need.

It took sometimes to migrate from RD or scissor to mechanical. A few typos are somehow expected. Be sure to keep on typing and it will be improved in no time.

Guys, I need some recommendation from sifus here.

Requirement of a keyboard :

Backlit keyboard, non-Pad Printing keycaps, gaming, media shortcut keys, Budget RM400.
*
I think nothing can fit in all your requirement, especially "non-Pad Printing keycaps".

Almost all BK keyboard(mechanical) are using coated(or painted) keycaps, which is quite similar to that of pad-printed(durability may differ depend on the quality of coating).

The only BL mech KB which I heard having non-coated keycaps is Deck Legend, but it is hardly to land your hand on one in Malaysia(and it cost much more than your budget).

The closest to your requirement I think is Ducky 9008S, AKA Ducky Shine. It cost a little more than your budget. For more info, PM Malaysia Ducky Distributor - Storm88.

El wire is not as visible as LED under the keycaps.

Somemore,(thick) el wire may affect the travel of the keycaps.

So for modding to add backlight, does we need another type keycaps that are transparent or just use the keycaps that come with the KB is ok oso?
*
Most original keycaps(especially SS7G) are semi translucent to a certain degree, which mean your LED BL can shine through and visible.

For thicker keycaps like Ducky PBT, Cherry POM and KBC PBT, there may be some problem to shine through it.

*
It(keycaps) is PBT, known for harder in nature.

My guess is that it won't be too translucent. So don't expect a too visible BL trough it.

If you really look for simple and clear keycaps for BL, you can try the "Keycool white blank key", available through keycool's official taobao shop.
