From what my view is, plate-mounted serve as a reinforcement for the keyboard PCB Board, because if you did typing on the keyboard without the plate, the PCB would flex on the middle of the keyboard.
But this problem can be fix by applying more support under the PCB Board as well as additional screw hole to allow the PCB Board to be more firm and stable. Let's take it like this. With Plate-mounted, less screw hole on PCB board and less foundation on the Casing. Without Plate-mounted, Casing would require more foundation to support the PCB board, PCB Board itself also needs a few more screw hole to install on casing without flexing issue. |

guys, i wanted to ask, anyone here have sanding plastic experience? mind to share?
from my sanding, i did remove all the glossy surface, but the main problem is that i couldn't get the texture i wanted. anyone of you pro in this ? |

why brasso? since we're not doing a mirror like finish. If it's that, 2000 grit + polish will do the trick.
