Lubing will solve the problem.

Lubrication guide for Squeaky Keys:

1. Remove the keycaps

2. Gease the locations pointed out. (Tamiya grease is used as example but any plastic grease will be fine)

3. Put back the keycaps and you're all good.

Hi guys, I just got my first mechanical keyboard last week but turns out it doesn't support Mac and Linux. =(

What keyboard(s) do you guys recommend for multi-platform compatibility?

may i know what keyboard do you use for Mac and Linux?

From what i know, not many keyboard supported it.

For Leopold Mechanical Keyboard, based on some user did mention Leopold does not work on mac, but i tried on my friend's Mac and it did work without any problem. so, i guess you'll have to test first before you make the purchase.

Too bad I bought mine online. Have to let it go now.
I saw some online reviews saying it supported Linux. And I thought it will work on mine but it turns out not.

I'm currently using MacBook's built-in keyboard but I think I need a dedicated keyboard for my multidisplay setup. Typing on MacBook's keyboard while looking at another screen is awkward.
As for Linux, I'm currently using a bad old membrane keyboard..

have you ever tried update the USB Drivers? i'm quite worried that may be the problem, as you do read online reviews saying it supported linux, but it's not working on your linux.

You can try alternative solution before giving up on your keyboard unless it is confirm not supported by linux.

Did you try with a USB to PS2 -> PS2 to USB converter?
It's a tad troublesome for this combination, but I figured it might work?

Yea Linux may have problems with USB drivers. But it's usually not the case for Mac. My Mac can detect it's a keyboard but can't detect the keyboard layout. And when it asks me to press some keys to identify its layout, none of the key presses are detected.

The problem is it's really hard to find info about getting it work on Mac and Linux in the internet. It's not a widely available keyboard and China users who bought it are mainly gamers i.e. Windows users...

Yea it is. Some call it fake cherry switches, but i would think it's just imitated cherry switches tongue.gif

Yea, that's a good idea.
But come to think of it, MacBooks don't have PS/2 ports... So it still doesn't fit my need..

There are 2 devices.

USB to PS2
Ps2 to USB

Combine them both, and your keyboard might work

Ok. I don't have PS2 to USB convertor, but I do have a USB to PS2 convertor.
I've just tested to use it with the keyboard on my desktop. No luck, with a PS/2 convertor, it still doesn't work, not even on Windows.
Just to make sure the convertor is working, I tested the convertor with my chapalang USB keyboard, and it works. So the convertor is definitely working.

It works on Windows but only when plugged in directly to USB.

It costs me RM180 including shipping to M'sia.

It was cheaper last month from DinoDirect for RM160 shipped via DHL
Too bad for you unfortunate incompatibility.

Maybe you can consider buying the Ducky ALPS, this time ask storm88 if they work on Macs/Linux before committing.
