Why do the legends look blurry and unrefined? Is it because of the shitty picture?
*
The keycaps are PBT built, i believe its matte surface, which makes the legends looks bit blurry.

Btw, does the keycaps works on Leopold's keyboard? I scare later the spacebar doesn't fit sweat.gif think of getting it and apply on upcoming leopold's TKL.

Should be able to fit on Leopold. The new PBT spacebar is universal enough for most brand including SS7G, Filco, Ducky, Cherry, Noppoo(both Choc Pro and Mini), Zowie, Leopold and many more(except Razer BW).

BTW, why would you like to change the keycaps if the main selling point on new Leopold is it's own unique+thick PBT? sweat.gif

You don't like grey? White don't really look outstanding over other white keyboards we saw. Grey on the other hand giving a sophisticated look like HHKB(though not so alike...)

The KBC PBT will look better on a grey casing IMO. And the original grey keycaps will look better in both black/white casing... TROLOLOL...

White + grey
Modifier and certain cluster of keys are grey.

They are trying to give it a vintage keyboard look.

Ops i just noticed the new Leopold is going to use PBT, guess i'm able to save some bucks biggrin.gif

I don't see there are any grey keyboard for the new leopold, i only saw these 3 model.

I am pretty sure you need to remap again your keyboard when using on Mac smile.gif

That's if you wanted to use the function or media keys on f1 to f12, which isn't really necessary since most of the settings can be done in Mac itself.

You were the guy that says wanted to saves up for Blackwidow right? I might as well oppose your plan, get Ducky Shine instead.

Lets say both being compared, obviously Ducky Shine owns Razer Blackwidow like f-ing lots of miles away, we just talk about the QC, Razer already losing like mad already.

I've helped my friend to claim warranty for his Razer Blackwidow for 5-6 times already, so i guess that should sums up what you going to think about Razer.

P/S: No fanboi materials in here, all are fully self experienced materials.

That's the pricing if you wanted to get something premium, i believe you are still at the kid age where outlook matters, or else you got more choices around rm35x to get a normal mechanical keyboard which are at premium level as well.

Wait until its become mainstream, back in the days LV/Prada/Gucci/Coach/so on designer bag, you don't see much people wearing them, and even if you suggest them to your friend, they will say the same thing.

For now, you can see most of those mentioned designer bag available in most of the ladies's hand.

once it becomes mainstream then its not special anymore.i say leave it as it is, only us can really appreciate these mech keyboards.let SS ,Razer, logitech etc those gaming brands to handle the mainstreams
*
That's what i actually thought about those designer's bag right now... everywhere also got LOL.

But still, people who never got into the stage before mainstreams will still go for them...its the trend after all...

Back then...gaming products was rare and premium, less people use, every single stuff build from Steelseries/Razer are great and problemless, look at them now, freddiemecury360degreefacepalm.jpg.

QUOTE(rurushu @ Feb 5 2012, 11:12 PM)
I think this is an inevitable cycle that will befall on everything...
For example, the vegetables, first they were all grown with organic fertilizers, then as time advances and demand increases, switch to chemical and genetic modification to get more yield, after the technology becomes close to mature, then all complain it is not healthy and demand the old school method, thus reverting back to organic...
Games also, first are simple, low end graphic games, then becomes more and more complex with high resolution graphics... and now... those games that most people ( i mean the majority, not the gamers....) are those simple, low graphics flash games... or those mini games....

So i think this is natural.... for keyboards... no exception... first is mechanical, then need to jack up production and reduce costs, go rubberdomes... and now.... goes back to good old vintage mechs....
not here to brag about understanding or intelligence, just to share some thoughts with you guys...  smile.gif

Even fashion also going back to vintage... lol

some website announced the top 5 mechanic keyboard are the following;

1. steelseries 6Gv2 / 7G
2. razer black widow ultimate
3. das keyboard ultimate
4. ducky 9008 shinning
5. filco majestouch

i personally didn't heard about DAS this brand, any members own it? and what is your's top 5 KB?

some other said programmer KB like logitech G19 is the king, but i think is only for the MMO players, not for FPS players.

alvin8866 - Das Ultimate
OCN_fssbzz - DAS Silent Model S
SSJBen - Das Model S Professional
ganstream1 - Das Model S Professional

Quoted from first post, there isn't really a top mechanic keyboard, but surprisingly seeing steel series topped 1st, when filco majestouch has better built quality compared.

But still, in mechanical keyboard, never ever trust top 10 blabla shits review, buying a mechanical keyboard is about seeing which switches that suits you, what features it offers you like 6KRO under USB, full NKRO on PS/2 mode, etcetc, if you end up with this kind of marketing trick, wish you good luck then. smile.gif

At the end of a day, a tool is still a tool, it won't improve your skill in anyways.

The ranking is somehow expected/acceptable. It is normal that those "gaming" brand having larger market and thus sell more, having larger quantity.

DAS keyboard is a US brand. It is made by same OEM of Ducky(in Taiwan). Somemore, they should be the first mech kb who use the glossy finish(ahem ahem, copy pasta by R*zer).

G19 is the king?(yaoming.jpg) It is just and overpriced rubber-dome board with some LED and LCD on it, nuff said. whistling.gif

As we always said, it's all about preferences, if you really wanted something soft, then MX Red is the way to go, if you wan tactile action as well, then get brown.

Or else, go to the shop, test all the switches, only you buy, don't listen to the words, its just for references.
