Where is a good place to try and buy older Nendoroids I've missed but now want? I tried XL Shop and Time Machine but they no longer stock the Nendos I'm looking for. Thanks!

Looking for the two Nendo Kurisu Makise - one normal one, and one with the white lab coat. I saw one in Time Machine a month or so ago, but now they sold out.

Ya, the white coat one I saw at Time Machine was, iirc, either RM350 or RM450.. really scary price. I never saw the one with the normal clothing.

I never wanted to buy her since I already got the Figma, but then I bought Nendo Mayuri Shiina on impulse, and she doesn't look that good paired with the Figma Kurisu, so I now, belatedly, want to get a Nendo Kurisu to pair with Mayuri.

I guess so too..Since I bet its really really rare adi.. T.T...But Petit looks so small compared to the ori nendo..And so far all my Saber Nendo are well..Nendo lolz..Pray I could find them and get them for a real good price (Just as I got it for my Saber Lily smile.gif )
*
Petits are really good quality, though. They may not be posable like the normal Nendos, but they're very convenient and cute - I love my Bakemonogatari Petit set to death. The Fate Nendo series has a regular-sized Nendo Beserker, iirc.

Am I the only one who buys Nendos on impulse because they're cute, even if I have no idea who they are, and then after that only buy the anime/manga to try and get to know them better? Banyak expensive la, this hobby. If my wife found out how much each Nendo cost she'll kill me (I have a bootleg Ciel Phantomhive box I got from Speedy Video and the price there printed in big big RM39.90, so she thinks they're all around that price, and she never ask me, and I never tell her)...

My latest.. Nendo Elsie, and now I want to get the manga so I can know who she is! =)

Wah, say easy.. and who says I gave up other vices? =) =) =)

That day my wife saw volume 1 of Kimi Ni Todoke on my table and looked at the cover and screamed "THIS sort of thing also you read ah? Very free ah? Love love story for girls also you want to waste money!". I didn't dare tell her was because I saw a Sawako Nendo which was so cute and I couldn't resist, and I bought it and after staring at her for a day or two, looked her up in the wiki and bought the anime and some manga to get to know her better. Wish she had a Ringu face, though....

A Kimi ni Todoke fan! *high 5*
BTW, how your wife know it's a shoujo manga. Unless......

Anyway Happy New Year everyone! Need to go cold turkey on nendo purchases this year. >_<
*
The cover of the Manga volume 1 screams "girly love story", unfortunately. I don't enjoy the manga that much - I find that the anime seems to be more interesting. Maybe it's the same with Shojo mangas - I had the same feeling with Natsume Yuujinchou - the anime was gripping but the manga was quite boring. Which is good because you can usually buy the entire anime series for less than the price of a single volume of manga!

Kimi is not really strictly a love story at first, more like a girl's efforts to fit in her surroundings despite creeping people out because of her shyness and resemblance to Ringu's Sadako. Later on when she's become popular then I guess there'll be more emphasis on the love story - there's already a rival in part of the anime I've watched up to, and she's quite slimy.

Happy New Year as well, everyone! Thanks for the support group - it's not easy to find other people who appreciate the hobby - it was getting really lonely! I don't know a single person in real-life who collects Nendoroids. Or maybe they do but like me dare not say....

Having a friend which collects nendo can be bad and good at the same time  whistling.gif

Good - share the joy
Bad  - constant poison  doh.gif

I get enough constant poison from XL shop website and the various blogs out there which I cannot resist visiting regularly. I spent RM900+ yesterday at XL shop... when I went home I was so worried the wife will see me come in (and they gave me this BIG XL-Shop fabric bag too, so is very obvious)... I think I'm already poisoned to death liao... at least have somebody in real-life who is also poisoned then we can die together! rclxub.gif

Looking at the Nendos coming on XL-Shop's website, I think I can expect to be buying at least 1 or 2 Nendos a month for the next 3 months. Very scary, and I'm running out of space to keep the boxes hidden.... icon_question.gif

Is about same price as Time Machine for current stock, and at least can guarantee original ma. Speedy Video sells the fake ones - where is a good shop to buy from?

EDIT:

Aiyooooo, so CUTE!!

Don't remember seeing this in the shops, though.

Sorry to say but those anime DVDs you can buy locally are bootlegs. Ori DVD/ BDs from japan can go more than RM1k for a 13 episode series (but US versions are a lot cheaper).
*
Ya, I heard. What's a good place to buy original anime from? While I'm not going to buy Dragonball Z, One Piece or anything that will cost me an arm and a leg, there are a few series which I really love and would like to get the originals for.

and then there's the Figma version too.... poison... poison... poison... die... cry.gif

Is ok - I'm sure they'll pop up again somewhere!

Not sure if I want to buy the Figmas - K-On anime is drawn quite cute and chubby (although not quite Nendo-style) and the Nendos capture the essence and character of the group perfectly - this set must complete! Already have Mio and Yui on my display shelf (although the Yui I have is missing her guitar-playing left hand, but still extremely cute!) and can't wait to find Mugi, Ritsu and Azusa. I will somehow make space for them on that crowded shelf! For Figma I probably need to see one physically before I can decide - maybe Time Machine will have one or two of them.

KAWAII!!!

I always end up watching anime a few years too late to collect the figures. Happened with Fate Stay Night, and now K-On. Thankfully still can find a few here and there this time. I think in a year's time everything becomes collector item liao.
