hi everyone,

Just to share something regarding those con case / scamming through online purchase. This notice is out from Polis Diraja Malaysia.
Hope everyone were aware with this con / scamming case happening again.

Its just a statistic of how many scam cases and/or the amount involved..
And thats all..

So what to be aware of?
Buyers need to be smart and better yet, dont deal if without cod.

I can say mine is 99% successful... 1 from 100 transaction je kena con. That time on ebay... after that I stop using ebay.

is just a reminded to everyone. not every is smart enough to know what is happening in cyber crime , some are still newbie on it.

Yeah I bought a dress from eBay too which says Brand New, Unworn but when I received the item, the dress clearly looked pre-owned, even stained and had rips. But luckily the eBay protection is good and I got my refund in full.

Sebanyak 1,241 kertas siasatan berhubung kes penipuan pembelian barangan melalui Internet telah dibuka oleh Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) sepanjang sembilan bulan pertama tahun ini, membabitkan kerugian hampir RM3 juta.

Penolong Ketua Urus Setia Ketua Polis Negara (Perhubungan Awam), Asisten Komisioner Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf memberitahu, modus operandi sindiket penipuan itu ialah suspek akan mengiklankan barangan dalam laman web dengan menawarkan harga rendah untuk menarik minat pembeli.

"Mangsa dan suspek hanya akan berurusan melalui telefon ataupun emel. Mangsa menyedari tertipu apabila tidak menerima barangan walaupun pembayaran telah dibuat," katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Menurut Ramli, sejak Januari hingga September tahun ini, sebanyak 1,241 kertas siasatan telah dibuka bagi kes penipuan pembelian melalui Internet membabitkan kerugian RM2,969,420.34.

Beliau berkata, jumlah tersebut didapati meningkat berbanding 1,114 kes dilaporkan dalam tempoh yang sama pada tahun lalu, walaupun jumlah kerugian menurun berbanding RM3,124,836.72.
