Im getting mine through retail. That way, i won't have to spend the time downloading ~16GB worth of game. Plus i get to keep a hard copy with retail.

16GB? How u know? Thats very large.

I won't buy lol, no money. I'm waiting for reviews first, dont want later something like Black Ops happens to me. Bought Call of Duty Black Ops and i didnt know it sucks so badly.

But I have big hopes for Modern Warfare 3, it looks promising....except for graphic only, but its ok

Just fyi it's 14GB for MW3.
They're allowing for pre-loads now if you bought through Steam.

So yeah you're gonna have to spend time downloading it but if you buy it now, it'll be downloaded by the time it comes out so you can play as soon as it's out

There arent any difference with both, other than the steam version comes with no box and you need to download it, while the retail version has box and you probably only need to download day 1 patch.

If you are familiar of how MW3/MW2/Blops works, you just need steam to run the game from it. DVDs are for 1st time installation and backup purposes

Buy retail also, the installer forces you to download.

That's what happened to me. Bought the original DVD, then the bugger forced me to spend the next 20+ hours downloading dunno what garbage at 40kbps before I could play.

I installed from DVD at noon Friday. No matter what solution I used and no matter how many times I tried, Black Ops insisted on downloading something from Steam. Slept at the computer all Fri nite. Woke up the next morning, then only can play!

How's that for a bullsh*t experience? Damn angry.

Then, I went on Combat Training... celaka sial... even that must be online to play, even though only against bots! When Streamyx is down, habis... koyak... taking up several gigs of SSD space for nothing.
