QUOTE(liowyingzhuo @ Nov 2 2011, 10:26 PM) ip4s can't really fit into ip4 case.. Can someone explain on this? I thought both are of the same dimension. Physically, only the proximity sensor changed to the other side?

QUOTE(Eidilfitrix @ Nov 9 2011, 09:42 AM) iPhone 4S design with 2 antennas on each side is actually similar to the Verizon iPhone 4 design in the US. Most cases in Malaysia fits the iPhone 4 design which has the antenna at the top and one on each sides if you noticed. In conclusion, that mute control switch on the iPhone 4S is slightly lower than the iPhone 4 due to the antenna design. So there aren't many shops selling iPhone 4S cases unless you get someone from the US/Singapore to be very certain. Thanks. I forgot of the slight difference on the mute button. Seems like I have to find a new casing..again..sigh

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Nov 16 2011, 11:24 AM) They spend 200million or billion to buy over SIRI , u think they will sell the iphone at rm650? Really stupid news made by sinchew, Chill out la. Why so harsh against the paper? They simply reporting in what ever they have la. In fact even total cost for iPhone 4 and 3Gs has been reported last time around the same price

QUOTE(Eidilfitrix @ Nov 16 2011, 01:14 PM) GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT NEWS!! Just called them again today, since I am a maxis corporate customer I insisted to know when is the date and the where about. They told me the phone will definitely be by the end of this month AND the PRICE of the phone will be a bit cheaper than the iPhone 4 (during it launch a year ago). They also keep reminding me that only postpaid customers get the notification (maybe). They also reminded to keep on the website, cause it's going to be soon. EXCITED! Maxis postpaid user get to be notified? Sure? Last time I have to RFI like anyone else. not a corporate customer though. I'm gunning for 64GB, so the price must be higher than my previous 32GB. thanks for the info anyway. hopefully it's true

Look at the bright side. Since there are so many problems with 4s (battery, no SIM issue etc) I'm hoping by the time they released it here, all bugs have been rectified with new iOS. I don't want to charge the phone every 3-4 hours

QUOTE(wilcwo2003 @ Nov 24 2011, 02:14 AM) Take into consideration that dual core cpu consumes more power than a single core. Added on November 24, 2011, 2:16 amThe 5.01 update release a few days ago to fix the battery loss / leak issue. So far for me: Switch Off: Siri Switch On: GPS 3G Wifi Power can last average around 12 hours per full charge. From my understanding, even more power required but it will be shared equally by those dual cores, hence battery consumption in theory should be similar or even better than single core. By saying GPS you mean the Location services? I think that referring to switching on A-GPS only and not the true GPS which will consume the battery much faster. Try running Papago for example and you can see the battery drop like hell. In fact I don't think switching GPS without any charging (including USB charging) will last 12 hours. I'm giving those assumption based on my previous iphone 4 though which most says with better battery life than 4s

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Nov 24 2011, 11:30 AM) the problem is not on the device, the problem is the user. Logically, why would anyone wanna turn off 3G without turning off EDGE/GPRS ? Well by going on that account, that means Apple was the problem with iPhone 4 since they gave us the option to toggle off 3G? It's true that it's not making any sense if we are talking about saving those precious data but turning off 3G will relax the battery consumption due to higher power needed for HSPA. So no, I don't think it's the user problem.

QUOTE(reevephon @ Nov 30 2011, 11:04 AM) 1. Not really 2. Not really 3. Not really 4. Not really 5. Definitely I'm thinking of changing to 4S is not fully because of it's new features on the 4S but it's about the money and plan, currently a 2nd hand iPhone 4 can sell around RM1500-1600, so I sell my iPhone 4 at RM1600 and subscribe Maxis iValue Plan 1 (RM100) / month then the 4S costs around RM1590 where I do not need to pay any extra money. Even though if I don't buy 4S but I still have to subscribe to Maxis 3G service plus call+SMS, which likely to cost around RM100/month also, this is why I'm thinking should I change or not? I did sold mine @RM1.6k but that's for 32GB. If yours still on warranty might be getting similar price. Only problem, how do you know 4S 16GB for sure will come at RM1590?

QUOTE(kahjye @ Nov 30 2011, 02:30 PM) Is there a must for them release the launching new tomorrow? By right, if they are really going to launch it by 16th, then ROI should be available two weeks prior the launch which more or less, should be tomorrow.

Well, judging based on last year's launch, ROI IS NOT PREBOOKING. It simply will notify you when will be the launch date etc through email. So that means everyone except the VIP have to queue up.
Last year I came @8pm on the second day to get the number then return back to home (30+ km). Sent my wife and kids then came back with my number already called. Since I'm simply extending the contract, all process took less than 5 minutes. Efficient and fast. You can't expect the same duration for new customer though.

I thought APR doesn't sell any iPhone? Machines for example simply direct you to Maxis should you want to buy one.
Not very sure with the 4s though since even the Apple Store Malaysia is selling iPhone 4 albeit the 8GB model only
