Launchday maxis won't have more than 1000 units.
With the holiday seasons coming up, sales in EU and US will be more focused by apple. Causing even more shortage of stock in Asia. Thus don't expect anything earlier for most of you to get the phone from local telco |

IMHO if you really want the phone, just get SG set.
Don't wait, the waiting game won't end. By the time u can get a maxis set, rumors will say iphone 5 is coming in a few months. In the end didn't get anything |

i rather pay more now and get it from garage sales than queue up a night before.
queueing up doesn't mean you will get the phone. stocks are very limited |

QUOTE(mikelanding @ Nov 22 2011, 11:35 PM) My case is I at Thailand for long period of time. Wont be at Malaysia. I agree with you on the fact that there's nothing to brag aboutThailand Iphone dun have telco subsidy also the price will be higher compare to Malaysia. Furthermore, I think Thailand will be much more later than Malaysia for Iphone 4S. Buying Sg set is the best option for me. If got any problem I can ask my friend who travel freq back and fort Sg to claim warranty. Bragging right? Iphone 4 and 4S is same in outlook. What really can brag? Put a big shining sticker " Iphone 4S" ??? haha. Nothing to brag to be frank. It is not like the case of Ipad 1 and Ipad 2 where outlook is different and much bigger improvement compare to Iphone 4 and 4S. |

QUOTE(wilcwo2003 @ Nov 23 2011, 01:37 AM) The issue where iCloud can't push data across Windows OS - Photostream. There is unlocked set selling at apple online store USAdded on November 23, 2011, 1:37 am Nope Added on November 23, 2011, 1:39 am Good Luck bro, bring food and water and blanket. Last time I did that for iPhone 4 @ Mid Valley from the night before until 11AM (queuing from outside entrance till get inside, then waited another 3-4 hours while inside the hall) Added on November 23, 2011, 1:40 am iCloud and Photostream across Windows OS Platforms. But if I'm not mistaken iOS - iOS is resolved. Windows still not fixed - unless they don't plan on fixing it. Added on November 23, 2011, 1:41 am No way you can do that, all iPhone in US Apple store comes with a plan. Added on November 23, 2011, 1:43 am I don't think those units has any warranty at all. So far only SG comes with 1 year Added on November 23, 2011, 1:44 am That's the user's rights and their money Added on November 23, 2011, 1:46 am Seriously .. ? Not sure what's ur problem! Last I check, the money is mine! LOL |

QUOTE(wilcwo2003 @ Nov 24 2011, 02:14 AM) First you need to understand that your 4S has the following hardware: I googled on how to switch off 3G service, found out that it's impossible.1. Dual Core A5 Chip 2. Siri Software 3. GPS 4. HSDPA/3G In order for you to get the best battery life, switch off everything that consumes alot of power - from # 2 - 4 But if you want to use your 3G, then switch off your GPS and Siri which both consumes lots of power. Take into consideration that dual core cpu consumes more power than a single core. Added on November 24, 2011, 2:16 am The 5.01 update release a few days ago to fix the battery loss / leak issue. So far for me: Switch Off: Siri Switch On: GPS 3G Wifi Power can last average around 12 hours per full charge. The option to do so isn't there Any other advice? |
