I have aproblem and I hope someone can help me...

I cant enter into recovery mode.. Im on stock rom n I tried the method to enter the recoveryby pressingvolume down + power.. Ok it got into the screen where got 2 icons, the box n the android..

Wheni choose the box n press the vol up, it doesnt go to recovery.. It just blank like that.. Also when I tried choosing the android icon, after the screen where it said to press up to continue n press vol down to cancel, after I press vol up, it just stays blank, shutting doen I guess...

Can anyone help? Thanks a lot

7. Wait until "Recovery Mode" screen show up

8. Use Vol down or Vol up to select apply .zip from sdcard and press power button to select the option

9. Look for the file root.zip under the SDCARD and select it with power button

10. Apply root.zip

11. and then Reboot

12. Install SuperUSer from the market and DONE!

I did try this method n its not tht hard, but the prob is the recovery mode does not showup... It just shutdown after tht, no recovery mode appear...

download mode means the screen with the odin3 bla bla bla with all the details like custom binary counter, official rom etc right? if tht, yes..

just a question, if lets say i put this cwm, will the binary counter increased?

btw, latest malaysia version right now is dxkj2 right?

Found the culprit already for my tablet.. I think recovery file got corrupt, because when I try to format my tablet, it just stay blank..

So I use odin to flash back my tablet , now on europe kj4.. So far so good..

Erm if lets say use custom rom, if the binary counter increase, is thr a way ro reset I back? Coz I wanna put the kernel with cwm,..

If u dun need the apps which required u to root, and also care too much bout warranty, then dun..

Not tht i prevent u to root, but read more bout it, like how to unroot back, how to restore if sumthing messed up etc..

Its juz too many hassle for a beginner if sumthing going wrong, thts all..

i think i got a prob here..

When i wifi direct with my s2, i can send things from tab to s2 without problems.. but not from s2 to tab.. my s2 will b on transfer state for a long time until it failed n transfer nothing, like tab rejected it.. same case sumthimes on bluetooth. When im trying to send from s2 to tab, sumtimes it will said tab rejected the transfer, but sumtimes successful.. no problem from tab to s2..

Search over the web but no prob like mine tho..

Laggy? Which part?

Mine is thinking on how to wow more for my tab.. the lag is gone after i remove most of the useless apps especially samsung related apps

If u on stock, n not thinking of rooting, juz try other launcher.. adw launcher ex is the perfect replacement for stock launcher.. compared to other launcher, it has tablet view, so its not too odd in using it..

For other lag issue, i dunno other than to root ur phone n remove those useless apps.. im not into custom rom or custom kernel or watsoeva.. i prefer stock rom but with juz removal of the stock apps which is some of them is useless, n it did good for my preferences..

The 8.9 is one of the easiest tab to root.. read a few pages back n u will finda method n the files needed to root..

Ill juz giv u a simple step to root..

Find a zip file which gives u root inthis thread.. sori, i forgot which page izzit
Copy it n put it into ur tab root folder.. its the sdcard folder
Turn off ur phone
Go into recovery mode by pressing power+vol down at the same time
press vol down again to go into the one with the box icon
Press vol up to go into tht mode
Select the zipfile tht u copy by pressing the vol up
Done

Thts all the steps u need to root..

Odin is the sw tht u used to flash rom..

After u root, u nid to manually install superuser from the market, n also busybox if u wan (recommended)..

To know which apps can be removed, i refer to this https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet...d=0&output=html

Its for sgs2, but mostly is similar.. from the name u can know wht apps it refer to, n also to make u decide whether u wan to remove it or not..

Te remove the apps, i recommend titanium backup, but if u not familiar with the apps name (as some f the apps name not similar whn view it in titanium backup), u can use systemapp remover (paid app) also..

B4 u remove it, i recommend to backup first.. i recommend to use cwm to backup first, but u nid to read more bout it.. tab 8.9 hav only one cwm tht is compatible for now, head over to xda to know which one..

Although titanium backup can backup ur apps, some of the system apps eventho u backup it, it cant b restored back, i dunno why.. maybe because samsung got some odex or dex file related to the apps iianm..

To get the rom to flash via odin if sumthing happen, juz go to sammobile.com n choosenthe firmwarenversion u like..

Tht means ur recovery is corrupt or not installed.. Ive experienced it before.. Do not factory reset ur tab as thr is no recovery on ur tab..

Wht i do is find the stock recovery.tar for ur tab on xda, flash it using odin. Or u can also flash stock firmware using odin..
