Now tell me how was the amount of people that actually really yelled or cheered during the WCG 2011 final? It's clearing showing you that it won't be possible during our WCG 2011 Malaysia Final, so little amount of people cheering for the players.
Most of the people here know nuts about how important is it to lose a single worker during the start of the game, and people thought losing workers in later game doesn't cost much.
Starcraft isn't a public content in Malaysia, people don't know hows the game like, how it supposed to be played, and yes till now i'm still seeing people in cybercafes playing with AI, and then do simcity block on their ramp 1 basing like for the whole game.
I wish there's one in Malaysia, but what i have to say, something that isn't supposed to happen, won't happen.
Trust me, it won't happen in Malaysia.

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Nov 2 2011, 09:31 PM) the FXO open 1 have double the number of contestants compared to WCG with quite a big crowd of spectators... i wont use WCG as a gauge lol... I can say the FXO isn't really "open" to public if you get what i mean, where-as WCG is held at shopping mall which is open public, and yet not so much people come to see. FYI in Malaysia, pub/bar/club owners won't simply let people to organize an event for you commons out there unless you're able to bring crowds into it, what people in Malaysia sees money first instead of your intention of the event, be realistic.

QUOTE(KepalaRadio @ Nov 2 2011, 09:59 PM) And it's people like you, with that sickening plague of pessimism that hinders efforts like these. If you want to post something that is against this effort, at least have the courtesy to make it a constructive one. *Edit; Did you SEE the crowd in the FXO Open #1? There were at least 20 more participants compared to WCG, which, according to you, is more "open". So are you telling me that these tournaments are not generating ANY buzz at all? Are you saying that whatever they are doing has not worked out as expected? I'm just voicing out my opinion, take it or not its your choice, i just want the people to at least take my point into account when they are going to host one in the future. Now for your edited part, now we are talking about the crowds, not the players, and also, are there actually demands for this in Malaysia? This post has been edited by kEazYc: Nov 2 2011, 10:15 PM

QUOTE(KepalaRadio @ Nov 2 2011, 10:13 PM) Yes, I am perfectly well aware of that, It's the fact that you post like you know everything about it, which makes your post quite agitating to the hopeful ones. If you want to voice out your opinions, fine, let people know what you think about it. But why not do it in a more humble manner? Instead of shit-nuking your way through? Because being much more straight forward is much better than taking people to the whole world and then back to the point? At least i prefer that way. Well you guys can actually start out from Overtime if you guys ever wanted to start one, but i doubt if they have internet connection when they don't even provide WiFi, lol. QUOTE(FXOBoSs @ Nov 3 2011, 06:14 PM) I am planning already barcraft in Malaysia... If you have a suggestion for a venue pm it to me, and I will try to make it happen in conjunction with a few events.. Perhaps FXO events in Malaysia for finals? You could try with Overtime first, one thing i know about them is...no internet connection (since not providing free wifi, so i doubt no internet connection as well). http://my.overtime.asia/

QUOTE(FXOBoSs @ Dec 16 2011, 12:27 PM) It will be Starting 21st January most probably. And every weekend until 2nd weekend of february. We will do the FXO invitational series, as we dont require internet to play it. Malaysia will get first viewing of the broadcast. I don't get the bolded part mang, mind to elaborate? Like we do not need internet to get into battle net as blizzard will be giving you some lan tool or something?

QUOTE(KepalaRadio @ Dec 16 2011, 04:04 PM) FXOpenIS is pre-recorded so it will be played on the big screen, not streamed. That way, no internet connection is required for the broadcasters to play it. Oh okay...
