Hi guys,

Anyone have any sample images of a solid surface bathroom sink? I installed a solid surface top and sink for my bathroom, but my contractor made a mistake with the sink. It looks like a kitchen sink..aiyoo. It's too square, too deep and he used the kitchen type of water flow trap.

I told him to redo it as I honestly can't stand looking at it.

Any sample images would help him to understand where I'm coming from. I've showed him some images from the net, but I could use some actual pics, if possible.

Thanks!

Attachment below illustrates my pain. It looks more like a hole in the table top and less like a sink. The hole for the flow trap is also too big.

Apart from the hole, I think it's quite nice. hmm.gif Perhaps it might turn out much better after installing the faucet.

Ha, now that you said it, it does. I'll be removing it soon to get a better and more presentable one. Hopefully it's not too difficult to change.

It does look better in the pics. When I uploaded the pic, I thought to myself "It doesn't look too bad"....and then I walked into the bathroom to get another look....dang! It has to go!!!

Flow outlet looks like sized for a sink !

Have you considered an undermount sink and get the contractor to re-cut the solid surface to fit? May be a less painful solution perhaps?

XPS:- Ya, after talking to my contractor, I think I'm going to do that. Less painful. Either under or top mount. My table top is not that wide, so I have to source for a smaller sink.

Thx Periwater. I showed that to my contractor, but unfortunately, it is not to be. My tabletop is quite small (bathroom is small) about 480-500mm from mirror to edge. So once you factor is placement of faucet and other items it's not going to work. Also it's not as thick as your tabletop.

Anyway, I've got him to remove the entire thing and redo the sink. It should look like the pic attached, except in white (hopefully).
