QUOTE(poyo @ Nov 16 2013, 02:16 AM) Those are ori la bhaiiii.... from Stargek, the sole distributor for all things Tamiya in Malaysia and Singapore. sure or not? already google but doesn't exist in catalog or anywhere else. Tamiya use different product number for each item you know. Look at the picture above, all are same product number, not logic at all. This post has been edited by soulfly: Nov 16 2013, 10:33 AM

QUOTE(nk3371 @ Nov 16 2013, 12:15 PM) I remember seeing this kind of item sells at Stargek SG. I think they opened the package, spray the color, then repack 'em up again. They're genuine Tamiya parts I guess. Only Stargek SG recolor & repack 'em on their own. If like that it's possible. Should have said it's Stargek custom.

QUOTE(poyo @ Nov 16 2013, 11:35 PM) This one is expensive brah. Roughly ard RM80++ for a set of 4. Never been to Stargek SG, but the stuffs are legit because it is also available at Tamiya Underground (but once stuffs like this goes up on display it runs out in a matter of hours over there). I've been thinking to do the same as it is legal to do so as long the parts are still original Tamiya. Powder coat 'em perhaps? the custom one in the pic above is selling at RM120, and still a lot of people were asking for it powdercoat will give a matte finish. not sure what kind of paint to use to make it shiny like Tamiya produced, which is more like anodized. QUOTE(poyo @ Nov 19 2013, 12:42 AM) I love MA, using the aluminium plate rear damped roller setup is nice! u get the fast and stable cornering action that looks like a mini drift in corners and u get some extra weight at the back to help dampen the rear end of the car when landing from jumps! landing from jump isn't slightly more weight in the front better? because the nose would dive first and make the body landing position flat (naturally when it jumps nose normally up).

QUOTE(poyo @ Nov 19 2013, 05:03 PM) No worries abt that as I am using the aluminium dished wheel up front and some 2.5g mass dampers up front with super hard tires all around lol. so, front slightly heavier is always good for landing stability lah right?

QUOTE(jasonlkk @ Nov 19 2013, 05:27 PM) I think is depend on which model their use. If motor at the motor should heavy at front. If FM should heavy at middle and if MA/MS should added back and front... No sure correct or not la ... MA/MS is almost balanced front & rear Others are more rear heavy due to motor position. but if we go for balanced setup, choosing MA/MS is too easy. there must be something else lol.

QUOTE(nk3371 @ Nov 26 2013, 09:37 AM) Depends on the organizer. For TU race, they didn't allow any imitation parts to be used in the race. So does the TLC races. How about generic screws/bolts/nuts/bearings? Sometimes it's just difficult to distinguish them. QUOTE(kari_convention @ Nov 26 2013, 06:03 PM) Seriously, I prefer sharing pics, ideas in here rather than in FB. Below is my MS Chassis collection. Still waiting for Thundershot Black Special to re-release back. Not worth paying RM100 over just to get a plastic toys. Hehehe I was able to score Thundershot Pink Special for ok-ok price (RM60-ish including shipping) on eBay. The Black Special is tempting, but I am also not willing to pay hundreds for this type of thing. Hopefully there will be a re-release. This post has been edited by soulfly: Nov 26 2013, 07:52 PM

QUOTE(poyo @ Nov 27 2013, 11:16 PM) any problem with the clearance at the chassis near the battery part? i want to get some large diameter tires, but not sure which one would have the correct clearance. tried the 30th anniv. Super X/XX wheels... doesn't fit After weeks... I still haven't finished doing my mini4wd yet. All the parts I wanted to use either quickgrabbed by my friends or other folks around here till I left with nothing. Even when I keep buying new stuffs, I could keep anything for myself lol. I still need my red 13mm alu red ringless, a set of large diameter wheels and motor. This post has been edited by soulfly: Nov 27 2013, 11:23 PM
