If you have a bachelor degree in Acturial Studies or Actuarial Science..your starting pay is already RM4k
If you have full qualifications from the Institute of Actuaries, your pay will be easily above RM15k Not everyone can study actuarial studies. Probabilities and complex statistics are more difficult to learn than engineering maths. |

depends on how many professional paper u have sit during your uni year
this career emphasizes very much in the number of professional papers u have passed, degree is so not important in this field once fully qualified (they named it as associate or fellow), salary at least rm20k+++ |

QUOTE(cocobean @ Nov 1 2011, 10:42 PM) quite a yes, coz freshgrads from this field are becoming oversupply, particularly those only with a degree but without any professional paperfor a start, work in other field first, then take your personal time to study for the exams |

QUOTE(jason18689 @ Nov 2 2011, 01:03 PM) hmmm.. But i wonder how fresh grads get a job then.. It depends on how relevant your degree is to the professional papers. Its so hard huhh..? Are you really sure with that bolded part? What about a freshie which holds a Masters on Actuarial.? Some degrees have more exemption than others. RM4k is the minimum for fresh. If you have a good degree, starting pay could be RM6k. Full papers easily 15-20k and more but then again. you need to have a background to enter. You can't be an actuary trainee without any papers. 99.9% of people do not have the ability to an actuary |
