while this might be motivational, but I have doubts. Earlier this year I attended a moral seminar hosted by the Big bosses in Moral, all of them were school teachers or JPS people... they told us that last year, 2010's A+ mark requirement is >96. This note here is like insulting her credibility already if it's true. D:

hmm.gif I'm not trying to hurt their pride or anything, but ever wonder how they know >96 is an A+ ? blink.gif

What decides A+,A and A- is still the graph icon_rolleyes.gif In Malaysia, no matter how powerful we are, in the end we are also fellow servants of our Yang Di-Pertuan Agong. Same here I guess. They're big bosses, but nowhere big as You-Know-Who cool2.gif

I suppose he's one deciding how beautiful will the curved graph be in the end.

Or those big bosses just wants to motivate the students smile.gif Usually our beloved elders would tell us to work hard cause the exam is hard and required tremendous effort to score with flying colours. Maybe that's why nod.gif So they're actually doing a good deed to inspire us students rclxms.gif

Since A depends on the graph, so Moral is taken by NON MUSLIM....If they perform very well, then the A+ can be 96.....

I agree with the statement above. If majority students can score well, 96 could be an A+ thumbup.gif But problem is, we don't know how many could perform like that sad.gif

A recently retired teacher was asked to comment on this grading. He said "wait till you see what the passing marks are like......" I didnt see the need for further clarification, as it will very likely lead to a conclusion that near illiterates will pass all SPM subjects.

MANY students, my best bud's two sisters, A and B didn't get A+ in Moral, A got 9A1 and B3 for Moral in 2006/2007 SPM, B got straight A's in SPM with 6A+, but only A(or was it A-?) in Moral.

Don't worry bro I know you're not trying to hurt anyone's pride, but I feel that feeding pipe dreams about getting A's in SPM (even if you're intending it or not) is not a very good thing. >96 for A+ is completely plausible since the graph was so maffakin' high last year.. YDPA? Wow? Really? =_= I doubt he has powers when it comes to education issues..

I'm still wondering how the fark did my friends not score A+ in all their subs if the marks were this low... blink.gif

but I'm not surprised about the passing marks being extremely low all the time though...

oh hey dude mind telling us the required marks to get grade B? Much appreciated~

KuzumiTaiga,

The grade depends on marks....If that year, many of them did very well then the marks can be very high......remind that only chinese, indian and others will sit for this paper.......so understand yourself why the marks can be so high......just like STPM chinese the marks can go till very high.......

don't over generalise us Non-Malays, the only reason many of the excellent students you see are Chinese and Indians is only because the better Malays were sent to SBP, MARA, and stuff for hardcore studies and hardcore brainwashing.

I am not generalizing......You go to SMJK and look at the standard of students.......SMJK students can boost the marks very high(moral and chinese), they are those very hardworking type.....

so are SBP and MARA Students... biggrin.gif but you have to agree lah SMJK students are equally as hard-working. Sorry but I find most malay guys who didn't do well earlier for their UPSR and PMR and didn't go to boarding schools are very retarded and usually very lazy and rude.. always ponteng and smoking in school, that's for my school and the neighbouring ones lah.. Selangor school btw.

I have to agree. Most of the students who didn't went to boarding school are mostly those who didn't do well in their UPSR or PMR. Doesn't mean if you flunk UPSR, then you'll flunk your PMR. PMR will then enhance the student enthusiasm in studying. p/s - I went to a boarding school for a year and transferred back to my school and I can see a big difference between the boarding school student and normal school student . I kinda regretted that I transferred back but it's worth it in the end. smile.gif

And mostly, the Chinese in my college now , most of them is very clever. I myself wouldn't want to deny it because they're indeed clever. But some of them , maybe around 1/3 only know how to study but not in good in social skill. And the other 2/3 .. Clever + Good Social + = I Like . smile.gif smile.gif

Don't blindly depend on the statistics. They will change every year. Take it at face value, but NOT AS A STUDY GUIDE!

This is the 2010's SPM 'grading' scale  shakehead.gif . This record is based on statistics from Semenanjung Malaysia. No idea which fella get this from. I got it from my friend  rolleyes.gif  Just sharing with you all students out there who are sitting for SPM 2011' papers.

I removed out all the 'Bs' grades because I believe majority students would prefer "A-" grade instead of a B+.. brows.gif I repost this using Microsoft Excel rather than using the original picture to protect the original owner's identity  wink.gif

Plus I only have records up to B  shocking.gif

*I don't think this is illegal since none of the law states that statistics cannot be shown to public whistling.gif If it is please do remove this post  hmm.gif

I believe this would help to "reduce" the student's stress since left 14 days or so to SPM.. If it does increase your stress, sorry lol  ohmy.gif

Pray that it's real brows.gif Then when you take the lousy A scores and enter engineering field, cry rclxms.gif

Ok for real, I have no idea smile.gif I got this from my friend. No idea where he got from. But better just take this info as a 'motivation' biggrin.gif

This statistic was done at Semenanjung Malaysia from what I heard from my friend who shared this info with me. Well, 10 more days to SPM rolleyes.gif You reap what you sow. If you deserve to have it, you'll have it. If you don't, you don't rclxm9.gif

Good Luck to all SPM students 2011'! flex.gif

Wish me luck lol. I'm expecting straight A- wub.gif

whistling.gif It's on facebook now~ The last time I see the post it has 445 shares~ *
