Hey nutz, i got quotation from KeyColor MV for the a65 which was 2.6k if im not mistaken. I asked for 3yrs entended warranty but they said it's only applicable for purchases from Sony Center/style. Any idea to that?

dear friend, the Kit 1650 serial is LOCK to the body, so, NO, u cant buy a body expect the kit come and just transfer to you, if you lens got issue, u will required to send in with the original Kit Body. even the shop able to provide u the silly argeement, the shop just wan earn money selling u (or they really dont know bout the serial issue), when warranty issue comes, u have no body to blame and dont say i didnt warn you first. even u extend it, the Lens will need to use the body serial to extended the warranty, the lens serial is not in the system, nor able to check. in the end, u just help other ppl A77 to extend the warranty~~

this happen to many cases of people who buys the package of "A55 + 50mm" from ***, and purchase extended warranty and find out there is not such package and the 50mm is not extended. go back bising in ***, but *** pandai cover it up by offering something in return just to keep the shop good name.

becareful with mix and match combo that is not listed in sony website itself.

i sent the lens for cleaning (last month) during warranty period.. however, due to the serial number of the lens was not written on the resit (only the body's serial number is noted) , they requested me to send in the body together ... after getting back the lens and body, they helped me to noted down the serial number of the lens on the resit again and told me next time, i just need to bring the resit to prove the lens is bundle with the body..
