Guys just wonder. I can see 3 small dots on both OVF and also using LV. Took a few photo but i don't see the dot on the pictures. So is it sensor/mirror that have the dirt? should i send it for servicing/warranty?

definitely mirror or inside the mechanism of the OVF
because in sony's live view mode...they use another sensor inside the ovf mechanism...
so you can see the dust when its in live view mode, unless you are using MF check Live View(its using the image sensor)

Live view also can see sweat.gif

Just feel annoying. Coz my previous DSLR had something similar but it's more of a fine dust/hair like thingie. Technically i won't get charge to get it clean?

btw guys just wondering, do you guys use Lightroom to edit photos or just stick with the sony applications (someone told me that using lightroom will result in color running off a bit)

hiansitt: Eh I meant SteadyShot in video (edited my original post.)

The A55 would physically move the sensor when recording video, causing heat (and audible noise).

The A77 just moves a 'crop' so it doesn't heat up.

eddybeh: F42 cannot trigger Sony's wireless flashes. You may be able to use a third-party flash with optical slave mode.

Lacus: Lightroom's default color profile is very neutral and doesn't boost the reds and greens the same way that Sony JPGs, DxO Optics Pro, and Sony IDC does.

You can of course tweak the color profile, or import profiles - if you have an X-Rite ColorChecker Passport for example, you can use that to make an even more accurate color profile.

I think it would be very obvious when comparing the Sony JPG and Lightroom's default, what the differences are.

NutZ748: The A850, A900, A65, A77 and NEX-5N have AF Microadjust on the body. So you don't need to tweak anything from the bottom (or the top, in the case of the A55.)

Ah, as expected from the Sony sifu... will research into it further notworthy.gif

Thank you. If this is the case...i will go buy later. My friend also said...if those images taken by Sony DSLR...you will need to use Sony device to view the clarity of the photos. If use other brand to see, then the colour not nice.  sad.gif

Don't believe what your friend says la smile.gif.. I just switch over to Sony(from another brand, still using it XD). Don't find any difference in terms of color also. FYI i don't use Sony device to view although i got quite a number of Sony stuff.

Btw guys do is it advisable to get an original battery or just get those 3rd party one? Someone here told me using cheap battery=damages the camera whistling.gif

Lacus, if you can afford it, always get original ones. Saves you a whole lot of hassle in incompatibility issues.

Actually i don't mind getting original one. but was thinking to get it as a spare hmm.gif
