QUOTE(yehlai @ Oct 31 2011, 12:39 PM) Vol up + Screen button + Power = Upload mode After go into Upload mode, we can use CWM to backup or restore. Added on October 31, 2011, 12:40 pmBut im not good with download mode and Odin.. After i use Odin to recover, my phone is still root and have CWM ? If you flash stock rom with Odin then you will lose root, or you can directly flash to other custom rom which use Odin to flash like Litening. QUOTE(blackrobin @ Oct 31 2011, 12:58 PM) i wan u guys to try this out.. ur proximity sensor... go *#0*#.. then sensor... place ur finger to cover camera ear piece area.. see if ur screen turns green o not? Seems like your proximity sensor has some problem if the test failed for you.

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Oct 31 2011, 05:52 PM) i got a question: will my modem cause my data to start and stop? never had this problem before on other ROMs, only on batista70. can't even surf websites in peace :shake_head: Yes, modem will affect data connection/WIFI/GPS. Try flash back to previous modem file that is working good for you. I find XXKI4 modem WIFI reception is weaker for me, XXKH3 is better.

QUOTE(Vcys86 @ Oct 31 2011, 09:58 PM) Thanks for the quick reply... I did check on the deluxe settings, but it only has Lock Screen settings, lock screen action (left right bottom, etc), lock screen wallpaper, lock screen options, status bar option, and miscellaneous (crt, overscroll glow) and lastly phone option dialog (extended power option). Press on menu button doesn't has any settings option too It is under Status Bar Option, make sure you are running the latest Deluxe Setting 12.1.

QUOTE(ashwin1234 @ Oct 31 2011, 10:01 PM) I did, but that doesn't restore my bookmarks... Yes because bookmarks aren't store in Gmail, I wonder how you back up your bookmarks at gmail last time? I can only restore bookmark through apps like MyBackup.

QUOTE(CLian @ Oct 31 2011, 10:02 PM) Let say...........Google chrome browser on PC vs SGS-2 browser Which is faster? In your opinion. Since i can't deny that google chrome is fast on my PC. Thanks! Dude your comparison is getting ridiculous, why do you want to compare browser speed in a PC with a phone? Do you compare the speed of a bicycle with a car?

QUOTE(CLian @ Oct 31 2011, 10:08 PM) Actually, I don't own a SGS-2. I just want to know which is faster. Because if they are as fast as each other, then, it will be convenient because I don't have to take out my laptop to surf the Internet. Comparing (independent of network speed) The browser rendering speed is fast on the Galaxy S2 and it is enough and decent for everyday use in standard browsing. Depending on what kind of websites you surf, you might as well stick back to your laptop. Eg. Playing flash game. If you are only reading news and updates etc, everything works fine in GS2.

QUOTE(CLian @ Oct 31 2011, 10:11 PM) But, SGS-2 has full flash. I will encounter lagging when playing flash games like FarmVille on SGS-2? Thanks. I don't think you will encounter lagging, but trust me it is very hassle to play 'non touch' game like FarmVille on the phone, additionally, the screen is quite small and you won't be using it to play Facebook game so often. QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Oct 31 2011, 10:15 PM) For a SGS2 newb, my main concern now is the battery life. My batt was at 50% when I went to sleep, then woke up to a battery alert, 9% already!!! Obviously there are some apps running in the background that drain your battery, check task manager or use BetterBatteryStats.

QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Oct 31 2011, 10:24 PM) I'm checking on task manager quite regularly. And I'm using this Battery Dr Saver+Task Killer, actively killing all running apps. Btw, BetterBatteryStats is paid app right? Sometimes battery saver app like the one you use might use more battery if you do not configure it properly, and again, do not use task killer other than the one included, what it does is kill the apps and the apps restore themselves again after a while. You can find BetterBatteryStats in XDA as an attachment for free.

QUOTE(CLian @ Oct 31 2011, 10:28 PM) U meant i will encounter lagging when playing 1080 videos on SGS-2? Thanks. I don't know about him but 1080p mkv video plays smoothly in my SGS2. But I only do that once for testing, there is really no reason to play 1080p video in a phone which is only 480p. Play 1080p in a Full HDTV instead

QUOTE(ashwin1234 @ Nov 3 2011, 08:31 PM) Haha, agree. It is plain awesome. I have one homescreen just for the player. You should check out the widget pack from the Market. It is free https://market.android.com/details?id=com.m...dgetpack1&hl=enPoweramp 2.0 is much better, it already included the widget pack that you link.

QUOTE(gsan @ Nov 3 2011, 09:48 PM) is it possible to use the slide to unlock the screen like iphone4? any apps can do that? Jkay deluxe lockscreen has all the slide to unlock with options like camera, calls and other apps based on your liking. Or you can try widgetlocker which is a paid app in the market. Magic locker has slide to unlock as well, they have a theme which looks exactly like the iPhone if that is what you want.

Want to ask some question about undervolting. If I didn't set any "Charging/Charging AC" profile in SetCPU and just lowering the voltage value in the Voltage tab, will my charging speed slows down and take longer time to fully charged?
If I didn't set any profile means it will use the voltages I set in the Voltages tab all the time right?

QUOTE(dannykhoo17 @ Nov 4 2011, 10:30 PM) i have problem on the album art ... once i copy one song then all the song follow the first song's album art .. It is the problem with default Music app, mine acts the same because the app can't properly retrieve the ID3 tags or something. Try PowerAMP it works perfect for me, better audio quality also.

QUOTE(mH3nG @ Nov 7 2011, 07:31 PM) I have to manually reboot the phone every day. (I never turn it off) Is this normal? p.s. rebooting using the fast reboot app doesn't seem to help. Why you want to reboot your phone everyday? Or do you mean the phone turn on by itself and you have to manually turn it on everyday?

QUOTE(mH3nG @ Nov 7 2011, 07:51 PM) I only reboot it when it starts to lag. Usually it happens after I use it for a day. Didn't install any though. Definitely no prawns inside my phone. Check your task manager, maybe there are some apps running in the background that you forgot to close.

QUOTE(ashwin1234 @ Nov 7 2011, 08:49 PM) I see nothing wrong with task killers. I have configured mine to ignore the system apps and common apps that keep on running, such as messaging and poweramp and what not. That way, any other app like games or what not that I leave running will be killed within one hour. Simple, otherwise nothing is killed. How can that possibly drain the battery? Task killer/manager has nothing wrong if you know how to configure and use it properly and wisely. But most users use them to 'one click kill all apps', which make the case worse. mH3nG probably has some apps running in the background that causes the lag.

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Nov 7 2011, 10:24 PM) does non-G s2 automatically remove the disabling of HSDPA after reboot? and is anyone facing gps problems on checkrom + speedmod? i seem to trouble getting a fix on my gps on maps and foursquare unless i enable "Use wireless networks" when it worked fine with just GPS satellites and sensor aiding GPS has to deal with modem, try switch to other modem like KH3. QUOTE(dark_evil18 @ Nov 7 2011, 10:38 PM) hi, want to ask about SME warranty for sgs2, i check in the market some comes up with 2 years warranty and some 1 year only with SME.. so which one is true? Both, SEP (Samsung Elite Partner) offers 2 years warranty. SME offers 1 year.
