behind the box at the bottom left corner, it will say if its a g model or not. g model uses different processor, could be samsung cant produce enough exynos processors to meet demand, so they buy the processors from different manufacturers. g version is only in asia

US sets will have different code names.

I just brick my phone..
was restoring backup via CWM, but stuck at I9100 logo screen.
Then i pull battery to restart, but still stuck at I9100 screen.

What can i do now? Upload mode is keep stuck at I9100 screen.
Anything i can do with download mode? HELP

hey waan ask u guys this.. da screen is off only when da person picks o what... or da moment u call a person and place da phone against ur ear..da screen shuts off .. need help here guys... duno if it's bug or hardware.. zzzzzzzz just flashed to latest androidmeda

the screen off when u place ur phone against ur ear. if u are looking at the screen in the middle of a call, it will turn on the screen. the screen off feature is to avoid u accidentally press the screen with ur cheek while on a call. correct me if i am wrong

If you can access download mode, open up Odin in your PC and flash back the original firmware or any stock firmware. I don't know what do you mean by upload mode.

i believe he meant recovery mode.

Vol up + Screen button + Power = Upload mode
After go into Upload mode, we can use CWM to backup or restore.

i wan u guys to try this out.. ur proximity sensor... go *#0*#.. then sensor... place ur finger to cover camera ear piece area.. see if ur screen turns green o not?
