Now I can do tonnes of stuff without using Odin and plugging into my computer ! so that easier for me to flash new kernel or rom anytime anywhere just hook up my pendrive and copy kernel or rom to phone then can start flashing on the spot |

Find a stock rom and flash it with odin or flash a custom rom.
Official stock rom for non-g version still stuck at 2.3.3 . |

QUOTE(kahjye @ Nov 11 2011, 01:22 AM) wah...so deep lah.... No you cannot. Because this 2.3.5 is not official for Malaysia set.okay....i will try to understand it...so complicated.. 2.3.3 is so much problem..phone crash , lag and battery very weak. Added on November 11, 2011, 1:23 amthe link is confusing... can i download it like apple do? download and auto update... in KIES of course.. Here easy step: 1. Download http://www.multiupload.com/SKUPDRAOKL (2.3.5 XXKI4) Get Odin v1.85 from here: http://www.multiupload.com/1RTGSE061G 2. Extract the .tar file in the archive(ONLY EXTRACT ARCHIEVE, DONT EXTRACT TAR FILE) 3. Go to download mode. To get download mode shut down the device. After it shuts off completely simultaneously press the Down volume key+ Home button + press the power button 4.You should see a warning asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel, press volume up. You are now in download mode! 5. Start odin (DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTING) 6. Click on the PDA button and browse to the .tar file that you extracted in step 2 7. Connect the USB cable and wait for the ID:COM section to turn yellow 8. Click start to flash 9. Do not disconnect the cable or turn off the device, it will reboot when it finishes. 10. Done |

QUOTE(wayfeel @ Nov 10 2011, 06:34 PM) beg to differ, fr my personal experience, wifi use very little juice (less consuming than edge)...i m always on wifi so im sure i dont get very far from the real result. i think the more battery killing is 3G. even edge is far juice saving than 3G. i think his wifi consuming cuz screen time when browsing or gaming couldnt agree more... maybe at my home the signal not strong enough... make my phone drain more battery trying to lock on weak signal..my daily usage for 3 months have been consistently 3-4hrs screen time , 1+ hrs calling, bluetooth connecting to jabra,, edge or wifi whole day...and still got battery about 10-30% end of day. if wifi n edge on overnight, barely drop more than 5%. partly my house wifi very strong otherwise ur phone will work harder locating wifi signal at all time that would consume alot battery, same like phone signal weak compare to strong signal, dfferent impact on battery. if use 3G, wont last till dinner time (from full charge lastnight before to bed ) just sharing not ignoring mybe people just didnt have d answer also... |

QUOTE(kahjye @ Nov 11 2011, 02:22 AM) Wow bro i owe u one! If you follow step by step with no skip then almost impossible for you to brick the device. Myself first also afraid to try but once done, cant wait for new firmware to flash. But will anything happen to my device if i failed halfway during the process? Eg bricked device.. And also Please ensure that KIES is closed and not running in the system tray! Kies doesn't like Odin, it's like the big brother who's always jealous that his little brother is getting to flash all the phones so he starts to flash block. And the odin screen is like this: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by letze: Nov 11 2011, 02:35 AM |

I just realize Samsung phones are the slowest to charge. Charging for close to an hour only gives me 25% from 4%. Even my Galaxy Tab takes very long to charge.
I suppose its the charger, its slow charging to give a longer battery lifespan to the battery. |
