Hi, Pikachu..
The thunder script sounds really nice to try... I read the post in xda but I just wanna make sure, If I flash nightly or Miui updates do I have to reinstall the 3 files in cwm again? and lastly is it that battery consuming? thanks alot... Edited: and in the xda post u mention the Zach script, If i'm using his Neo kernel will it affects anything or there are extra stuff i need to do. Sorry for the noob question. Thanks again ^^ This post has been edited by mendoksei: Nov 4 2011, 04:22 PM |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Nov 4 2011, 04:14 PM) as far as i know, there's 3 files needed for flashing: if u wanna flash a custom kernel put the file in PDA 1. PIT 2. Phone 3. PDA 4. CSC im currently on GB 2.3.4 JVP... flashing custom kernel means which file to use in the 4 segmet of Odin?? sorry for the noob question. Last time when i flash GB stock ROM, there's PIT, PHONE and PDA to flash in one go. but this custom kernel making my head spins~ |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Nov 4 2011, 04:29 PM) But there's this clause when i click into SpeedMod kernel download link: To my understanding you wanted to install custom kernel to root your phone so that you can install cm7 rit? if yes then it is correct, the rest just like what ic3joker mention... *This version is only for Samsung Gingerbread ROMs. It will not work with Samsung Froyo, CyanogenMod or MIUI ROMS!* |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Nov 4 2011, 04:43 PM) im currently on GB 2.3.4... is the speedMod compatible with it?? well...I left speedmod long time dee.. but you did mention "But there's this clause when i click into SpeedMod kernel download link:or i need to flash it back to Froyo 2.2 first?? *This version is only for Samsung Gingerbread ROMs. It will not work with Samsung Froyo, CyanogenMod or MIUI ROMS!*" then i think it should be ok.... |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Nov 4 2011, 05:22 PM) Must be something clashing from Amestris. Amestris bundling other tweaks? You need to make sure the ROM itself doesn't have any clashings with ThunderBolt!. ok.. thanks alot ^^ gonna try now..... Yes, it will replace Zach's scripts with ThunderBolt!'s only modified Zach's scripts. You need to reflash ThunderBolt! if you flash a new ROM/nightly. It's not battery consuming, it even saves battery actually. |

QUOTE(ronaldkh @ Nov 3 2011, 09:33 PM) This is how I flash:- hey ronaldkh, I read this when i tried to install pikachu thunderbolt in the step 7 i need script manager to launch remount as root rit? but I got 3 remount. Remount cm7miui, 19000, i19001 and sqlite_optimize. which 1 shall i chose? thanks ^^ 1) Boot into CWM, go to mounts and storage, and mount /system and /data 2) Go to install zip from sdcard 3) Flash restore zip 4) Flash ThunderBolt! zip 5) Flash the addons (there are 3 - pick the one you want) 6) Reboot 7) Go to Script Manager (it's an app which can be found in the market). From there go to bolt_scripts, tick 'Run as root' and 'Run at boot'. Finally tap the 'Run' button. Don't have to remount next time you reboot since you have ticked 'Run at boot'. Am I right? |

QUOTE(ronaldkh @ Nov 6 2011, 11:16 PM) Hmm I only mount the cm7/miui since I'm a miui user. i9000 is for custom roms like simplicity, darky's and etc. No idea about sqlite_optimize, I didn't touch that. oh so what you did was tick run as root and in boot for remountcm7miui? so you feel ur sgs is flying dee? The sqlite_optimize script is to optimize *.db files to make it faster and smaller (usually in /dbdata) You can install everything in CWM without rebooting. Then Script Manager to activate remount. " so if i tick drop as run as root meaning i have to manually run it after each time i reboot my phone izzit?? thanks ^^ |

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Nov 13 2011, 09:02 PM) Yeah, I had to put two of it inside so that there's only 1 script as opposed to two scripts. CM7/MIUI uses /datadata while i9000 uses /dbdata. It would hit one of them and error out the 2nd. I'm sorry I don't quite get it |
