want to ask, if want to use applanet, need to have custom rom? stock rom cannot?
*
I don't think you need a custom rom for that. But one thing's for sure, you're susceptible to viruses from Applanet.

Added on November 16, 2011, 9:32 pmyay! got my SGS already! woohoo!! it's still in froyo btw, what should i do? update to GB with Kies?
*
Update to GB via Kies first? Bear in mind that the GB rom for our region is not the latest, you have to use Odin for the latest stock rom.

are you sure about this?  hmm.gif

and is the bootloader is already included in this firmware?
*
Yes 100% sure. Picking either one will not affect the firmware anyways.

The bootloader is included in mine, so yours should be the same.

Not all can overclock up to 1.7Ghz. One way to know is to try. hmm.gif

But I overclocked mine to 1.6Ghz though with the NEO 18 kernel.

Kinda stable for now. Battery wise, not that bad as it doesn't stay at 1.6Ghz all the time. hmm.gif

Yeah true, but it depends on the type of governor you're using.

Reflashed to xxjvt with csc home whatever.

Thought would fix the wifi drop issue but still remained the same. It will drop wifi and connect to 3G and then reconnect to wifi. Googled it and seems that there are a lot of people suffering the same.
*
The CSC file doesn't have anything to do with wifi connection lol.

This statement would hit alucard direct in the face... laugh.gif

Just kidding, no hard feelings.
Hi alucard, why dont you try to turn off your 3G connection and just use wifi for internet access. It might those background running apps that triggers the 3G connection.

I do see alot of apps that have this option whether to have 3G or Wifi only for update or data push.

Hope it helps. smile.gif

I'm sorry then, if he felt offended. icon_rolleyes.gif

just flashed everything with Home-Multi CSC, everything works perfectly for now, even wifi is is stronger than ever! but havent check yet other few minor stuff like alarm clock or etc etc

and to flash custom kernel, simply just download that kernel, put at PDA slot, and flash it, right? no need check repartition right?
*
Yeah you're right. Make sure it's in .tar format.
