gonna flash Team Hacksung B14 now! any heads up on tweaks that needed? ive read the thread, some said about the media scanner thing..

Feels like going for Custom ROM, but any stable Custom ROM that "Sifu" suggest?
By the way, if I were to flash a custom ROM, can I still use Kies to restore my Contacts and notes?
I got lots of notes that I need to restore after I flash or update...

Where do you get your Maps.apk? It is not showing in the Market dang!

is it? mine with data on all day max can last for 8 hour with low usage. 
for me yes. i am using teamhacksung and onecomic on another phone. compare side by side, for smoothness teamhacksung for sure especially with custom kernel like devil and glitch. with glitch kernel my camera quality is so so suck. but its ok for me cause i rarely use my phone camera. with devil kernel it is better but still sucks compare to stock. for battery life, one comic is better just a lil bit or almost the same it is depend on phone. i got no luck on that, both draining very fast.    for those who have good battery life on any ics rom please report which rom you flash from and to which port. i flash from cm7-> ics teamhacksung= bad or terrible battery life 4 hour on high usage, 8hour maximum with low usage; miui-> onecomic=  ok but still bad, 4-5hours on high usage, 9-10 with low usage. i test it all with data on for whole day. please let us know your battery life. i have to charge like 2-3 times per day. 

which version of market are you using? my market enabler is no longer working with the latest market.

lol. but with wifi mine draining fast too. sad case. if play games can finish in t3 hour with full charge. 
wow! 18 hours?! seriously? off all data network only? even my phone on standby mode, battery will die within 9 hours.   

my market enabler is no longer working i will test again later. for the music, which governor are you using? from xda, they said that lazy is bad for music playing, keep skipping, so try smartass v2 or ondemand. i am not using google music so cant really help much. that is what i know la.

if you ask me i will suggest teamhucksung. but you can try onecosmic too. both are good, if battery life is more important than performance go to onecosmic. if performance is more important then go to teamhacksung.
okok onecosmic is using ner kernel as default. if you kernel support int.d then it should be support thunderbolt. i think we need pikachu to explain to us. PIKACHU! I CHOOSE YOU! HAHAHAHHAHA!

Quite strange, i flashed from JVU + Semaphore 2.5 to onecosmic

Did the wipe data and cache

when it reboot, my phone just shows a black screen between the bootloader screen and the boot animation.

Any suggestion, it shd not be due to Bootloader, as i m move from JVU, any suggestion?

But the brightness is dimmed..

I ticked the autobrightness... it make it darker.. Does those plp on onecosmic like this as well.. or u plp unticked the autobrightness?

With the current tweaks and scripts he is able to integrate it with more kernels and phones.  If he builds a kernel, he'll only be stuck with a single phone (unless he builds different kernels for different phones ), and more work has to be done to maintain it.

If you can get 8 hours heavy usage so good, coz I only get maybe 4 hours with continuously surfing internet.

But u plp said.. it drained juice like no body business, i shall see how bad it is, onecosmic seem pretty reasonable for the drain, overnight.. it only dropped 2% from 12am to 6am

I'm on jetpack 8.2 atm. Pretty snappy I'd say. I installed it with the ICS theme on the xda forum. However, the longest I can stand with battery is 19hr++ with normal daily usage with Wifi always on. saw a few people reported that they could get up to 3 days with this rom Also, I havent tried the latest (v9) yet.

it is recommended to go to stock xxjvu first for clean installation.
jetpack? hmm. was thinking to flash to gamerz rom but after found that it is OC in default i give up d. now searching for xxjvu rom without OC and FC. LOL!

Yeah, tat's what held me back.  I prefer non-OCed roms.. Now only sticking to stock.  Anyway to change the OC thing?  Seldom mess with OC thingy..

I still love my SGS with MIUI and always visiting the longest and survived hp thread in Android section even i bought SGN...

honestly to say SGN is the best phone i ever have coz i love to download music clips and watch it on the go.. btw, my work related with handphone so i already test a bunch of new phone models... and i find SGN is the best and suit me...

still on stock Android 2.3.6... hehehe btw, my colleague always racun to use custom rom... but i think i want to stick with stock one until official ICS out this 1st quarter... if official ICS is suck then it's time for me to use custom rom... hehe

btw, did u guys noticed new phone (maybe SGS 3) with 4.6 inch screen that samsung used in one of their demo video in CES2012

it is not possible to change the OC thing in gamerz rom as the developer already mention that he set the best setting in his rom. if normal rom it is easy, just use voltage control or the kernel control app.
i think i will stick to stock. ok one question. stock rom + custom kernel = odex or deodex? confused with this.
