Alright guys.. Any help is appreciated.. I'm planning to buy this game for the PC version.. So I was wondering: a) Do you need an original copy to play multiplayer online? b) Is there any Malaysian or Singapore server out there? c) Is it pay2play? -I am a newbie without a doubt..

yes, yes and no, you have to buy the game though, but no subscription fee

- Of course, you require to register your account with CD-key. But once you do that, and after install game, you can run game without the DVD.



b) Is there any Malaysian or Singapore server out there?
- MBTCentral & Fragnetics. Singapore has the most, and the connection is much better.



c) Is it pay2play?

- Its free to play. In some case, some will require to pay for VIP status (means if server full, you cannot go in, but if VIP, can go in and kick out player who did not pay.

When you see the BF3 thread is growing so fast, that means you won't go wrong with this.

But still, if you're a true gamers, you won't go through any verifications, just play, think later.

Same case like me.

My first original game was Call of Duty Black Ops. And really, that game is so not worth it..ping is high and the DLC are expensive

anyway,
1) u need original copy to play multiplayer
2) got lots of Malaysian and Singapore servers, Japan/Thailand servers are smooth also (sometimes lag only)
3) Its not pay to play...its not like World of Warcraft where you have to subscribe monthly to play the game.....but you can rent servers...

just buy it and play

how much do you think it costs to get my hands on original copy? Any recommendations on where to buy in selangor or kl? (First time buying instead of downloading )

Don't need to really go to "recommended" place to get, just go to any original game shop and ask them for BF3, normal price should be RM159, i believe they are able to give you discount, ask for it.

Dude i'm playing counter strike 1.3 online back in the dial up days dude, its not even 16kbps, and i'm able to get below 50 ping most of the time.

Conclusion, even you got the most basic streamyx package, you still able to play the game.
