QUOTE(xandras @ Oct 30 2011, 10:24 PM) Mohawk for amateurs lah.. I was once a Mohawk kaki when I first got into ICE.. The only thing worthy from Mohawk are the amplifiers.. Others don't bother la.. MA audio also.. I sold a monoblock amp quite a while ago, that single monoblock can be wired to 6 10" woofers to produce enough bass to break ur car windows.. thats why i said entry level.now looking for monoblock..cheap one will do..got a pair of 10"(or maybe 12") in my boot given by my bro(mtx)..he said the subs very expensive and he also gave me massive mid bass speaker(from rx7)....i dun need a very loud one..just SQL will do..im looking for entry level ICE set up cos i already have something equivalent to studio quality set up in my bedroom...so i dun need high quality one because i rarely drive...aside with HU, my set up will be audio processor connect directly to amp..ps: looking for burr-brown audio processor, or pioneer audio processor.. |

QUOTE(shelby_yong @ Oct 30 2011, 10:42 PM) i want ask about the hard disc ah.. thats normal..since you're either transferring data between the same hard drive(different partition), or transferring between hdd..if external to external..that will be slow because hdd->usb2.0->computer->usb2.0->hdd(better get usb 3.0 will be faster)..if internal to internal(different hdd) would be quite fast. one thing to check, if you're transferring alot of small files...transfer rate also will be slow..i also got 1 500 gb.. also divide 3 partition. but the transfer rate between this 3.. also 20++ or it was my pc problem? the other is seagate. ps: if want faster..get yourself SSD.. |

QUOTE(xandras @ Oct 30 2011, 10:51 PM) Yup. But that comes as stock on bentleys. haha..yup..thats expensive....or i should use computer sound card or usb sound card..quite cheap..rm300 can get burr-brown dsp/dac..for playing compress audio only laa like mp3,flac etc..maybe i should plonk atom or brazos computer with ssd which can boot very fast..that way i can have 7.1 channel audio in my car with touchscreen monitor...haha..Don't lah. He still need his kapcai to deliver spare parts de leh. Car audio processor not cheap bro. If I'm not mistaken, cheapest one I saw was MTX's at RM 800+, and my favourite punya brand Rockford 360 at RM 3k++. This post has been edited by raimy_m9: Oct 30 2011, 11:01 PM |

QUOTE(KKW @ Oct 30 2011, 11:12 PM) Oh icic.. thats true..but you can also optimise the audio for driver only...such as delay..volume...range.etc..As I study for audio surround sound, we can't enjoy the fully surround sound and can't fully utilize the speaker in the car.. As normal surround sound got front left, center, front right, rear left, rear right and sub. The speaker needed to place in specific spot/location in order to enjoy the surround sound. My opinion, it's overkill using 7.1 on car.. btw, correct me if I'm wrong |

QUOTE(piglover @ Oct 31 2011, 11:26 PM) the sound is like aeroplane sound.... i thought they already explain to you..since our car using hidraulic type means using the engine power while turning the steering..even though he didnt touch your power sterring, he touched your engine..if im not mistaken on the basic car power steering system the hidraulic pump gets its pressure from one of the engine pulley..try tu turn your steering until finish then the sound will be louder and your engine might die..and i can see my power steering reservoir oil is more than normal. before sent to change timing belt, no problem.. after change timing belt, get this problem.... i can't blame the mechanic as he didn't touch my power steering things.... but i just wanna know the exact problem.. note : even car is stationary, i turn the steering also got this noise...louder... ps: google.. |

QUOTE(vccy @ Nov 3 2011, 09:29 AM) I end up installing rear disc brake but not from Nexxus. I got half cut from Evo 3. Handbrake problem do occurs, you need a good foreman. I solved mine. The braking improve but need to step more on the brake pedal to brake cos our ori brake pump is only 1.3. (except persona h-line with 1.6 brake pump). My next project is to try evo3 master brake pump or evo5 double servo brake pump. I also plan to mod abs stopper for my the pump. These 3 items is arriving this week. new one? if want to change to oversize disc brake? or put 8 pot caliper front with 380mm cross drilled rotor and rear 4 pot with 345mm..can? ...Damn i think i wasted nearly 1.5k to upgrade my brake system. My advice. Go get a new set. Around RM1100 not include installation. The half cut that i got got some problem and i changed a lot parts of it. If you ur budget is tight can go ask for Nexxus. ask him carefully how he install and what type of disc he and how he solve he handbrake. or you can ask unknownhammie, he and zeng plan to install rear disc brake, can ask him bulk or not? He got lubang for gen2 one. Gen2 rear disc brake fit perfectly into our persona. |
