You can get Tyrian 2000 for free at GOG. Just need to register an account. The game is already free, but GOG advantage is it has been tailored to run properly on modern machine. Definitely one of the best in it's genre. So much upgrading, variety of level and enemy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the one from Steam is in MP3 format right?
*
High chance it was mp3 file since 320kbps is always related to that format.

No wonder it is hard to beat the game (Sanctum), they saved all the badass tower for DLC release. I really don't like the way this thing going.

Some users reported that they received spam email by Steams which is very unusual. Luckily i didn't have Steam forums account, so i think my account isn't compromised, i hope so.

Nobody redeemed it? I got it from Steamgifts but i don't want to keep it forever cause i already own it thanks to massive Humble Bundle giveaways at GOG forum few days ago.

Ohhhh shyt! More games to look for, alrdy blind when browsing steam, lol cool2.gif

Btw, Hard Reset seems nice, anyone play it before?
*
Game is too short (3 - 4 hours) of single player campaign from most feedback that i read. No multiplayer could add less replay ability value. Even though the shooting is satisfying, but with those negative points that i mentioned before; i'm reluctant to spend USD15 on this game. There are better choice, for example Serious Sam HD double pack only cost USD7.49 with longer single player campaign.

Thanks for advice! ya, i think games will be much more worth if it can support multiplayer and also replayable.

I share the same view as you. Maybe with more budget the developer could make longer single player player and add multiplayer option. This is not a bad game considering it was developed by independent studio, but in my opinion not quite worth the price tag.

Finally this is perfect time for me to own Serious Sam HD packs. But i'm still in two minds. I'm reluctant to spend money even at bargain price on something that i probably won't play frequently. But maybe i'll change my mind later.

Anyone know any good download region?? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

Nope, it's cause of Steam server. Maybe it was overcrowded because of the sales. I'm downloading my GOG games using GOGdownloader, can reach full speed (150kbps) with my 1MB Streamyx. But downloading games from Steam, it only gave me 50 - 70kbps. Certainly not Streamyx problem.

sure no prob  biggrin.gif ... just that i can't get in :/ the patch keeps stopping for some reason  shakehead.gif

That happen to me several times before. Not the patch through Steam, but the one provided by Atari at the launcher. Sometime, their server will have trouble getting you logged in. This is one of reasons that i against over-protected DRM. But no doubt the game is good. Better than NFS: HP in my opinion.

Is there anyway to fix it? cause it's really starting to bother me  sad.gif

No, you can't fix that. That's always online DRM, similar to Ubisoft. It also depend on your connection bandwidth. Make sure your network is not congested when you attempt to launch the game.

hum.. I'm using 5mbps line, isn't there a manual patch or something?
*
5mbps should be fine. Patch on Steam or TDU2 launcher, which one has stop working / unresponsive? As far as i know, there're no offline patch. I solved this problem with Steam "verify integrity of game cache" because the game seems take forever to load on the launcher.

I assume you both just bought the game from recent promo right? I bought it from last July promo and there were quite lot of user having problem registering the CD-key, but it was patched later. So you guys need to have little bit of patience, let them sort out the auto update or whatever it is at their end. You can try browsing the official forum for troubleshooting, but it's hard to find which one specifically for your problem because there are quite large amount of complain threads on their forum.
Again, i suspect the always online DRM play a big part on this issue. Hence, lack or almost non-existence offline patch. The only offline patch that i found from google only for the skid row version.

But for how long? The community is dead and probably not last longer. Save your money on something else. It's very easy decision, at least for me.

An advice from expert for those who can't resist buying games / bargain hunter (this is not my words):

QUOTE
As someone who's just discovering digital downloads as a major source of cheap games, the most important thing is to understand that here is no urgency to buy anything. The download services are pretty good in creating a sense of urgency by offering great discounts for very short times, but - contrary to games that are physically sold - the merchandise will never sell out. This means that every game that's on sale right now will be on sale again at some point in the future, possibly for a better price because it's then older. So the real question you want to ask yourself is: Do I want to actually play this game until it goes on sale again? If the answer is yes, buy it. If the answer is no, wait for the next sale.
