Hi bro, Samsung Galaxy s2 quite nice... if you wanna smooth, please check on the processor for smoothness. Example, higher processor 1.2Ghz dual core TI OMAP4430. ui i dont knw what does it mean.. sorry. ...

Out of the box the Galaxy Nexus would be the smoothest phone based on your list,it will also get updates the fastest.About Sense,it's certainly flashy but it's also a big resource hog that makes the stock Sensation quite sluggish.

Galaxy note may face problems like HTC desire HD.a beast of a device but with half to one day battery life.if u are conccern with battery life (thr's alot of solutions to that problems though like a 2nd battery or a portable charger) then go for XE.Evo 3D is nth really to shout about except if you likes to ikut fashion to have 3D.

anyway HTC sense is nice.very nice sepecially on sense 3.0.

my vote based on ur list:

1) Galaxy Nexus
2) Galaxy Note

You want smooth and simple OS go WP7 or IOS

1) iPhone 4s (I know you will not choose iPhone)
2) HTC Titan.

i'm using HTC, been using HTC androids for quite a while, and now I say NO NO to HTC because their screens are CRAP, full stop. I've lost interest after I tried out other phones, the SGS2, the LG Optimus 2x (also using this), the Optimus 3d, all of these phones have much better screens than what HTC provides even though the resolution of these phones are smaller. Look, a touch screen phone with a huge screen (4" and above) really needs a good display, at least an IPS, without a good display it'll look like crap.

if u can wait, the Galaxy Nexus is your best bet. If u can't wait, there's nothing wrong with the Note, or even the (now cheap and fits your budget perfectly) SGS2. If u want something special and don't care about updates, the LG Optimus 3d is very very good.

about SENSE, there is NOTHING SPECIAL about it, i've tried ALL of SENSE versions including the 3.5 (custom ROM), u'll get bored within a month, so SENSE or no SENSE is not that big a deal, I'd prefer stock android any day

look, if u don't believe me, go to any shop (SENQ or whatever) that displays demo units for u to play and compare these side by side (HTC vs SAMSUNG or other brands) and u'll know what I mean. personally, i prefer a normal IPS screen than the super AMOLED display because the colors are more natural, that's why i'm still loving my LG. But it's a personal preference. I have great eye sight and color differentiation, so any slight difference of display i can tell easily how good are they. I chose HTC previously because at that time they are the leaders of android (and because the galaxy S first gen is so darn expensive), now it's a different story

ips mean...u can look clear even u angle ur phone screen(lcd)

IPS = iPhone screen.

just get the SGS2, even with nexus or note coming out, SGS2 is by far still the best phone available, go do the comparisons and you'll see why its the top selling android phone in the market.

Nexus=Super AMOLED (minus)
Note=exceptionally BIG. may not practical in your daily use imho.

of course Note may have slightly better performance but for the size, its debatable.

but dont worry bout when you're gonna buy, because android phones drop price as fast as taking a dump in the morning.

note or nexus..just that

I know you have narrowed your choices but take a serious look at amazing Moto Android Razr coming soon next month. If you can put up with not the latest, Atrix should drop down in price because of these newer ones.

So, it all weigh down towards the UI and screen now I guess.

It's true that HTC display resolution sucks as well as their camera because they don't bother to improve their camera, just the UI and the screen size that's all. IMO, GS II is by far the best among all of these as it's specs is quite good as a dual core processor phone but the screen like lcs87 said was crappy and saturated to make it look very fake thus the screen literally killed off everything else that is good about the phone unless you don't mind that then it's alright because the phone is smooth, way better than iPhone! But, I suggest waiting for the next batch of HTC or Samsung models coming.

Btw, why not consider iPhone?

really? my dad hate HTC to the guts and thinks samsung better quality. he sed 2 models from HTC n 2 more from samsung, all windows phone. now my whole family using iphone and very happy with it ;p

if strictly android i would suggest SGS2, really decent screen.

The display resolution for sensation and sensation xe are not that bad as compared to the previous models of htc phones.....i saw my friend's older htc phones.....the resolution are really really bad....

But i must agree that Sensation's camera still suck ass......
Actually my first choice is SG2 but Sensation is rm400 cheaper than SG2, i got it through contract....so i get sensation instead of sg2

If you want, go for S2 or Sensation XE

Or wait for the next batch of htc or samsung phones

evo 3d is a disappointment because of the crappy display, LG Optimus 3d is way better, but the problem with the LG is the updates

go for coming model Galaxy Note, sure no regret!

consider N9 with meego. nokia finally got it right with their touch screen technology.
it's smoothness and speed matches the mighty iPhone.

if u r getting a phone juz bcos of apps, then it MUST be the iPhone. all the best apps and games will be released for iOS before anything else.

for pure functionality and best hardware keyboard, it must be the blackberries.

i would anytime recommend Sensation XE over SGS2.

trust me, u wont regret and the CPU in Sensation XE is more powerful than SGS2.

not anymore, the scenery is changing, more and more devs are launching apps for both OS side by side.

no need to explain, just go to a store that has demo units for both and compare side by side and u'll get what i mean. I won't even consider any HTC device now just because they give us the crappiest display in the market. until they can at least give us an IPS screen, goodbye HTC

HTC display crappy? WTF, i wonder have u go and see for yourself whether the screen is real crappy onot?

HTC Sensation screen is damn good... dun compare to HTC Desire or Incredible S screens...

And I must say that SGS2 display is crap bcos AMOLED display is very unreal...

I have tested, compared between HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S2 with my friend. Our opinions are Galaxy is really FAST, but sound quality is bad, the camera is poorer, the screen is tooooo nice until you can notice that the white part is a bit "blueish", the resolution is not as big as Sensation. On the other hand, HTC Sensation, although it is not the XE version, but XE version is the pumped up of Sensation which is really good. It comes with a Beats OEM, the screen is trully wide, the camera is the better, the sound quality is really good. The drawback of Sensation is the HTC Sense is really awesome, and too much of animations will cause the battery to be drained faster. This happens to Galaxy S2 and I did compare, it is even worse. So, I would recommend you Sensation XE. =)

i'm sorry to offend u if i did, but u need to go have your eyes checked if u say Sensation screen "damn good". and i'm not saying to just compare it to AMOLED displays (read my previous post...), compare it with other IPS displays also. If the vivid colors of the AMOLED display is not your cup of tea i truly understand because I personally also don't like it quite as much because it's not natural, but if u compare it with a normal IPS display, u'll find that (if your eyes still can differentiate colours) HTC screens are the worst in the market. not to mention the viewing angle is HORRIFIC.
