Everton manager David Moyes is hopeful striker Nikica Jelavic can provide the answer to their goalscoring problems but accepts the rest of the team have to give him the right support.
The Croatia international scored his second goal since arriving from Rangers in Saturday's 2-0 win at Swansea.
Jelavic has started four times in seven appearances following his £5.5million transfer but has already shown he could provide Everton with some much-needed firepower up front.
However, Moyes wants his team to make life as easy as possible in front of goal for the 26-year-old, which has not always been the case for other strikers at the club.
"I think he has done quite well," said Moyes ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final replay at Sunderland on Tuesday night.
"When he came he had a bit of a problem with his stomach and he has missed a few weeks but he has given us something slightly different and scored a couple of goals.
"If he keeps it ticking over it will be good as (left-back) Leighton Baines is our top goalscorer with four - so it is quite obvious to see where we have been short.
"It can weigh on you (not scoring) and we have had other centre-forwards here who have found it a struggle to score.
"We have to make sure they get the right service, we have to make sure we are creative enough in the final third and then they do get the chances.
"Then when they get the chances the centre-forwards have to make sure they take them.
"Denis Straqualursi came on and should have scored one or maybe two against Swansea and Steven Pienaar had chances so we have got to try to take that on and make sure we take them in the game against Sunderland."
Centre-back Phil Jagielka made his second successive start in south Wales after recovering from a knee problem which sidelined him for two months and Moyes is delighted to see the defender rediscovering his best form.
"I thought Jags was ever so good on Saturday," added the Scot.
"He had an injury and we brought him back to start in a difficult game (the 3-0 Merseyside derby defeat) and he did well in that as well.
"On Saturday he showed why arguably he is one of the best centre-halves in England.
"He was immaculate in all the things he did and that is great because he is a top player."
Hopefully tonight he will score & enter semi-final!!! #COYB!!!

and he scored! Shaping up to be a very good striker 1-0 Everton first half. COYB! We're going to Wembley!
----------
game's finished! 2-0 Everton, Vaughan with a comical own goal trying to clear Jelavic's ball. best attacking game all season from us. Gueye brilliant down the left. Fellaini dictated the midfield. Jelly could have had a hattrick. Liverpool at Wembley now. If we played like we did vs Sunderland then we're going to have a very good chance of reaching the final maybe even win it.
COYB!

Everton Football Club today confirms it has signed a three-year deal with global sportswear giant Nike.
Nike, whose existing portfolio of clubs includes Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal, will take over from Le Coq Sportif on Everton’s royal blue jersey for the 2012/13 season.
The sports giant will be the official and recognised technical partner on all of Everton’s match kits, which will go on sale later this summer.
The new kit sponsorship deal, negotiated in close collaboration with the Club’s retail and merchandise partner Kitbag, represents Nike’s first association with Everton and will allow the Blues the opportunity to extend their retail opportunities.
Along with the exclusively designed kits for the 2012/13 campaign, Nike will also produce the Club’s official training wear and a Nike Pro Combat range.
Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: “Following all the speculation of the past few months, we are delighted to confirm that Everton is about to kick-off a new, three-year partnership with the world’s leading sportswear brand.

FIRST HALF - NORWICH 1 EVERTON 1 One more goal for Jelavic. Cahill should've scored another just seconds later but shot weakly straight at Ruddy. Howson pulled one back before the break through some terrible defending. Baines lucky not to get two yellows.
Had we gone 2-0 the game could've been over but we let our foot off the pedal like we always do when 1-0 up. Need to really have a go at them this second half! COYB!
-----
2ND HALF Same script as first half, 2-1 up through Jelavic then 2-2, again because of terrible defending. Jagielka assisted the first goal but was poor at the back. Distin played better with Heitinga as his partner I think Let's see that defence sorted before the big match eh? COYB!
