Try public mutual or icapital if u can tolerate the china man style management....they do hiring fresh grad for thei analyst position. For vc i thnik they quiet unlikely will hire inexperienced ppl...u can see their netrove partners dvertisemtn in jobstreet stated tat they need atlest 3 years exp for their analyst and associate position.

Since you're not working, why don't you apply first? It's no harm going to the interview first then tell us what you thinks! biggrin.gif

Andy, I am not, but some experienced with small small PE/VC.
Not trying to say this firm is not good, but you have to do more background check before you joining any company.

There are some so-called VCs that don't even have a fund, whenever you ask them how much fund they manage, they will tell you all the non sense except how much fund under their are management.

We find the posts here about us interesting because there is a clear interest in us and at the same time, some misunderstandings. First the misunderstandings - we are a regional tech VC and a CF house, not just a typical VC. Most starters who come for interviews are too inexperienced to understand this fusion but that is our business model. At interviews, we have different stages, earlier ones focus on skills and aptitude, later more focused on your character. No, we don’t ask questions about your first sex experience during interviews regardless of your gender. We are managed by respectable people who know where the lines are.

Finally, we pay people commensurately based on their experience and later, on proven abilities.

We also noticed that one more of the people who commented here may have been aggrieved either in not getting the job or possibly even been fired by us. So, beware what you read and who you hear from in social media like this. If you want a job and have befitting talents, why not contact us and hear from the horses’ mouth?

I got a friend there. Any of you who wants to talk to me? wink.gif

Dear management of Netrove, please do spare the millennials for their judgemental behaviour, for they are still in the 'discovery' phase, where they see the world only via their lenses and not other's. With obscurity, people tend to assume, and they may not make a good one.

I have recently viewed linked-in of people work in this company and contacted some of them. They have provided very unattractive views on the company. Begin with the most important aspect: salary. I was told that there is a penalty system of some sort that you are forced to pay penalties on the mistakes you made. Next question of course is to what extent the amount could go up to, they were unclear about the amount but some said it could go up to more than RM1k for analysts!! Really cina-man company man.

I guess that explained the high turnover of the company from the comments. Bosses there are definitely bullies. If you want to find out more I suggest you contact them in linked-in like I did. I would also suggest that you should not contact those listed under the management of company's website and see what they say.

From some collective comments you are able to guess the culture in that company. I am out looking for other opportunities.

Just to add in my collective comment, too. I will make this as neutral as possible. They called me for an interview lately, and they told me that interview are available after working hours and/or weekends.

As for my personal due diligence, I did some checking on the company's health and in the end I did not attend the interview.

Had approached Netrove for investments some time back and was actually quite keen with them. Their team of analysts were keen, enthusiastic and connected well for us to consider an investment by Netrove.

However, several warning signs came out after I did research on Netrove.

1. Besides the Chairman, Teh Kim Seng, there seems to be no one who has stayed in Netrove for more than 3 years. This may not be weird in the first place but Netrove emphasized that they have more than 10 years in the VC world.

2. The offer given was well, very strict on us. Expects us report to them closely, give out lots of management rights, and some of the clauses I am very uncomfortable about.

3. Ultimate red flags came from Teh Kim Seng's last dealings with its portfolio company, GALASYS PLC. There were fights between Teh Kim Seng's camp and the management which caused the company to be ultimately be delisted from the AIM markets.

Looks like Teh Kim Seng had used the Company to commence law suits against the management using the company and it was reported in the below. https://www.shareprophets.com/views/23587/a...ints-the-finger

"And so new we have Mr Teh telling us that if proceedings are discontinued the outcome is likely to be that the company has to foot a whopping legal bill: approximately £2.4 million run up by the nomination committee across the jurisdictions of England, Malaysia and Jersey and potentially a further £1 million in relation to the costs of Mr Teh’s supposed boardroom colleagues (although they have announced that they do not intend to pursue the company for that, Mr Teh says that he understands that there is as yet no binding agreement in place to cover that.

Further, Mr Teh asserts that, in fact, the costs thus far met by the company were met out of cash he has loaned to the company, as the CEO has refused to authorise any payment of such fees. If proceedings are dropped, Mr Teh says he will take steps to recover his loan.

The bottom line here is that Mr Teh appears to me to be attempting to blackmail his shareholders – rightly or wrongly – into backing his side of the dispute.

Erm, definitely not my kind of chairman i want in my company!

4. Further check on Kim Seng reveals that he was chairman of a few companies on
https://www.investegate.co.uk/Index.aspx?se...&words=kim+seng

However, all of the companies in the list have now been delisted. What really happened to those companies when he is a chairman? I wonder. Another fact is he is now known as Max Teh in recent pitching events. Is it maybe cause of his track records in those delisted companies under his personal name?

The above findings led me to walk away from Netrove and Teh Kim Seng's investments. Since then, my company's growth has been slower as I had capital constraints. But it felt like a right decisions n now I am considering approaching other investors.

Hi, can you share more about your experience when you connected with them. They seem to be nice people. The boss are well-educated and professional. I have seen their investment in Zapzapmath, FruitiKing etc.
