Aiyar... it all depends on individual needs lor... as an example, 2GB for me is the minimum as i do a lot of self learning at home during free time, I'd launch an oracle db, couple of app servers, an IDE, some utility programs and heck sometimes even a second OS via vmware. My home pc with 2GB barely cuts it... i'd love to add more memory if i had the cash... Of course when i just play games, then the 2GB is overkill.
