I plan to get an amd x2 3800+ and 7900GT to play FEAR at 1280x1024res. Will 1GB of RAM cause stuttering during gameplay with most graphics settings on? I dont mind longer loading time (how long exactly?)

For the home user, 1GB is most definitely enough but even for casual gamers nowadays 2GB is required.

it stutters a bit at the start of the game.. after 10% of the game, it all goes smoothly... biggrin.gif

juz upgraded to 2gb last week..
it shows quite a lot of differences from 1gb..
now, i can play all of the games that required lots of ram with ease..
last time i used 1gb and play battlefield2142, it takes quite a time to quit from the game, but when use 2gb, it quits so fast.. biggrin.gif
i can also play gothic 3 with full settings!

i really2 recommended all of u to upgrade to 2gb..
