Really appreciate if anyone already successful installed his/her Battlefield 3 and able to play it smoothly, kindly post your guide on how you install Battlefield 3 include those patches. I find out a lot of user having problem in installing it, getting errors and etc.

It would be even better if admin stick this post up so everyone can see and share.

I don't know what's the big problem. These are my steps :

0. Sign up for origin and log in.
1. Open DVD Case and insert into drive.
2. Run autostart.
3. Click next.
4. Enter DVD Key.
5. Click next.
6. Origin says it's "downloading" the game but zero network activity and data is "downloaded" from the DVD.
7. Change disk.
8. Click next.
9. Patch Downloads automatically.
10. Play the effing game.

How about the PunkBuster and Battlelog Web Plugin? Any idea?

Appreciate your sharing, so everyone can read and follow. Some even installed without Origin running in their system.

Okay, just to share how I install mine.

1) I had Origin installed in my PC, latest version.
2) Redeem my CD Key in Origin
3) Put in Disc 1, select Language, click Install.
4) Nothing appear, no response from DVD, suspect DVD DOA.
5) Uninstall Origin, delete all Origin folders and settings.
6) Restart PC.
7) Put in Disc 1, select Language, click Install, Origin setup auto come up.
8) Finish install Origin, auto update Origin will perform.
9) Open up Origin and select on Battefield 3, click Download.
10) Actually it don't download from internet, it read from the DVD so you can see 9MB/s transfer rate for the download speed.
11) Put in Disc 2 when it request.
12) Done installation, auto update Battlefield 3 patch.
13) Done patching, start playing!
14) When launching the game, it crashed and saying DirectX issue.
15) Change Battlefield 3 compatibility to Vista Service Pack 2, working perfectly.

Weird.

By the way my step is a bit wrong I heard that. Some people might say if you redeem your CD Key in Origin and it will consider as digital download. But seems like it "download" from my DVD. rclxub.gif

I have my Origin with latest update and latest download from website, put in DVD disc and it got no response. So I deleted my Origin and let the DVD install Origin itself, it works perfectly.
