my cat wont eat kibble..now everyday eat boil chicken breast...what should i do?
*
Try converting your cat slowly from boiled chicken breast to kibbles.
"Campur" the kibbles with the chicken & everyday, slowly increase the amount of kibbles & decrease the amount of chicken.
At first, your cat may avoid from eating the kibbles.
But once he/she's hungry, your cat will have no choice haha.
Always remember that you're the master & not the other way around hehehe thumbup.gif

Oh ya. Blackwood has a guarantee on its packaging that cats won't resist their food.
You can try that too.

How do you attend flea problems? i just found out that my cat has flea.

My cat is on her harness 24/7 but sometimes i set her free. I put her on harness because we live in a flat and it has open air access. I heard there were several case cat accidentally fell and died. Is anyone here used to have a cat with harness 24/7? Is there any disadvantage?
[attachmentid=2637505]

She has worn harness since I took her home from my friend who found her fell into the drain in a rainy day at the back of his house. The singlet can function like harness too.
[attachmentid=2637517]
*
Use Frontline spot-on. If your cat stays indoors, it should last about 6 weeks.
& don't forget to bathe your cat.
If your cat has fleas now, most probably the harness has been infected.
So, clean the harness after you've given your cat her Frontline.

p/s: Your cat so COMEL!

Does anyone know where to get feline fresh pine litter in KL area ? jusco alpha angle always run out of stock sad.gif

fyi it's much better than other wood type i've experience smile.gif
*
I use the same type rclxms.gif
If you can't find any in Jusco, try your luck at Petsmore.
But I think they've started bringing in World's Best Cat Litter instead.
I've never tried that brand, because it's corn based.

thnx so much for the lesson...it is very helpful of u to provide me with these pictured instructions...thnx again...will also find science ad for both lilo n stich...smile.gif

By the way, if your cat is like most cats, it WILL resist when you attempt to open his/her mouth.
If you feel that you still need your arms, you may want to wrap your cat up in a towel.
& then, feed it's pill(s) tongue.gif
This saves yourself from being scratched all over.
If your cat 'merajuk', wet food should help.

If your cats continue to lose their appetite for a couple more days, you should take them to the vet.
Of course cats won't eat their meds voluntarily, but they won't generally be 'traumatized'.

One of my kittens is having the same thing.
But seriously minor compared to Salji.
She should recover slowly.
All the best, & persevere!
Also, if you have the time, try to bathe Salji twice a week with anti-fungal shampoo.
You have a big heart for helping her.
Good luck.

got flu.... maybe she not used to be bathe sweat.gif
Any recommendation the good brand of shampoo..?
*
Any anti-fungal shampoo will be OK.
Did you bathe Salji on a bright & sunny day?
& did you thoroughly dry her?
Otherwise she's gonna get the flu.

[attachmentid=2699968]

Flower seems like an adorable cat.
But unless you're willing to take care all of her kitties plus the new Dad, just neuter her.
She'll live a longer life with you.
& her 'on heat' moments will be a thing of the past.

Any idea how to sooth the cat while cutting their nail ?
my cat keep running away >.<
*
With every cat that I own, I started by holding their paws once a day.
After a while, your cat should get used to it & won't resist when you hold their paws.
From there, here's a simple guide to trim their nails.

http://cats.about.com/cs/declawing/ht/trimclaws.htm

Try to trim you cat's nails when they are sleeping, just woke up or just ate.
They'll be a bit calmer during these moments.
If all else fails, just balut them in a towel. Problem solved hehe.

What pcminc said was unacceptable about kucing kurap.
But we shouldn't 'attack' him in such a way.
Though I know how everybody in this thread loves cats, maybe it's better that we attempt to educate, rather than be aggressive.
For all we know, he may have assumed that kurap is an uncurable disease.

What pcminc does with Flower is up to him.
Since after all, he is the owner.
But if he is willing to be fully responsible of Flower + the male cat & their kittens, then, by all means, let him breed.
But if he's not up to the task, he should consider neutering Flower.
That's my opinion, anyway.

greetings cat lovers, i has a question...after u neuter a male cat, will he stop spraying his pee around?
*
Most of the time, yes.
But some spayed male cats still spray to mark their territory.
However, based on personal experience, it has never happened to me.
Is your cat doing it now?

hi all, interested in getting a cat, but i heard that their poops are soooo freaking stink ??

If you make a habit of scooping the stools often, it won't stink.
& use good cat litter.
I use Feline Fresh.
Smells really fresh & like wood.
Reminds me of IKEA.

I use Feline Fresh for my cats.
There are two versions.
I use the one in the purple packaging.
Instead of smelling like pee/poo, it smells like wood.
Reminds me of IKEA.

i recently adopted a 5 week old kitten (already have a 1year+ big boy kitty at home) so I checked on the internet and ppl say 1 litterbox per cat right? I supplied two boxes..and my kitten poos in the litter box, no problem ... but she pees on newspaper/plastic bag/under the sink. Any suggestions ? The litter box is also in the bathroom, so under the distance between under the sink and the litter box is not even 2 meters apart..

here are my kitties.

I used to have the same problem with one of my cats.
I fixed it by keeping the cat in a cage with food, water & the litterbox.
After a week, he got the message.
So I let him roam free.
After a couple of days, he did it again.
Back to the cage he went.
Cats are pretty smart, since mine never peed outside of his litterbox after that biggrin.gif

That's up to you.
Normally, I just let them be.
Unless anything's stuck on their fur, I'll wipe/clean them off.

First time posting here. Hello! I'm a cat lover, especially siamese. Sadly, my siamese cat (who I just rescued last Monday) just died last night. T.T Vet said he's too sick. Ringworm + diarrhea + virus, etc. He had a seizure around 1AM last night and his seizure eventually until his death.

Hi cat lovers..wanna ask..

1..what kind of litter boxes are you guys using?
2. how many do u hv?
3.how do mininised the tracking?
Tx..
*
1. I bought a cheap plastic box at a plastic shop & used that.

2. If you're referring to no. of litterboxes, I use 1.
If you're referring to no. of cats, I have 2.
& another 2 cats at my family's place.

3. Place a mat under the litterbox.
I suggest something that you use as floor mats for cars.
You know, the very kasar kind haha.

*
My cat sleeps in my wardrobe every day.
Even newly washed clothes are covered in cat fur.
But you're right.

QUOTE(pinkdalmation @ May 10 2012, 04:40 PM)
my kitten (adopted when she was 6 weeks, now she is 11 weeks) has this strange habit of eating bread. Normal ah ?

We feed her 3 times a day, mixture of wet and dry. I'm sure we are feeding her enough. But is there is bread on the table, even if it is still in the plastic she will tear the plastic until she can get the bread...

My other cat doesnt do that at all, I thought cats dont eat carbs . ...
*
There are cats who love bread.
Short term, it's not hazardous to their health.
But, if you consider long term, it's not a good thing for your cat to eat.
This is because bread contains carbs, which will turn to sugar & stored as fat.
You don't want to have an obese cat.

What you can do is 2 things.
1. Occasionally feed your cat bread. In moderation, cats are OK with bread.
2. Hide your bread. When your kitten attacks the packaging, there is a risk that she'll consume the plastic packaging. That would be really hazardous to your little kitty.

Hope that you manage to control your cat's love of bread.
Good luck smile.gif

Is it normal for cats having nightmares? I've seen few occasions of my cat (male, 1yr++) whom I think, is having a nightmare, like us having one. Shaken body, mouth/whisker moved a bit, as if he's talking/meowing, and few other things that we did when we're having bad dream. Even when I tried to wake him up, he didn't awake until I have to shake him a bit harder, only then he realised he's no longer sleeping. Then he do the usual head bump ( probably thanking me for waking him up from his nightmares), and sleep silently beside me.

haha. funny cat. ;p
*
Perfectly normal haha.
My cats do it all of the time.
Now I wonder what they actually dream about.

Last night about 8, I went out for awhile but I left the door open. My kitty, usually just peek outside and would wander around the house area. She's not used to company, whenever a person pass by she would run back to the house... but last night, after I came home. She was gone.

Can cats remember their way back home?
*
My cat managed to escape the house twice now.
The first time, he got the right unit, but on the wrong floor haha.
The second time, he was hanging out outside of the house, waiting for me to open the door.
So yes, I think that it's possible.

By the way, just in case you live in a landed unit, I used to have a cat who would always go back to our old house.
Do note that we have moved to a new place.
& the old house was pretty far from the new one.
Either he has a map, or is really good at finding his way hmm.gif

If it's sudden behavior & he/she looks unhealthy, you should bring him/her to the vet.
Otherwise, don't worry about it.
Your cat must be very thirsty because of the weather.

thus the pet cats

how can i make my cats being loyal as dogs? right now they just recognize me as a friendly creature not an owner or a best friend. those two always play around, i can't even cuddle or handle them, just for the short period and then they lompat and continue playing. I know kittens likes to play but...hmmm

*
Sounds like your furkids are still kittens.
They'll grow up & develop their own personalities; hopefully they'll learn to show their affections for you by then biggrin.gif

But bear in mind that cats show their love in different ways.
Some wait for you to come home, while some may just acknowledge your presence with a nod.
However, I do notice that a cat really starts to love you if you nursed him/her when it was sick.
That or every time you pour food into their bowls thumbup.gif
