I have used a RM140 water fountain for 1yr+ until it broke down,...
The whole idea is to keep drinking water aerated because they said cats prefered it.

My experience with my 3 cats, all local DSH, they pretty neutral about it.
I used a bowl of daily changed plain water next to the fountain which the water are changed weekly.
Only 1 cat out of the 3 is a regular user.
Mosquitoes larvae sometimes are found in the fountain water.
My verdict of the fountain is, it is a luxury item.
Can be a DIY using a aquarium air pump, duct tape, air hose and a fairly wide water bowl.
The water used are just filtered pipe water.
