Hi all cat lovers,

Last week 2 kittens suddenly appear at my doorstep, with the mother occasionally dropping by to check up on them. I have never taken care of any feline creatures before, so I am really just very clueless. I tried browsing through the thread and googling but the information was just too much!

I'm estimating the kittens to be about 4-5 weeks old, they are still feeding on the mother's milk. When do I start feeding the cat? Should I intervene or they can figure it out for themselves?

For now i'm just feeding the mother and she will take care of the kittens. I am still contemplating on adopting the kittens, I am very unprepared and worried they might die under my care T.T (jk, of course, but u know what i mean)

Sincerely,
Cat Dummy.

Hi,

I've posted a couple of weeks back regarding stray kitties appearing at my doorstep. It has since been 5 weeks and they are doing great!

First week. My bf named her Pui (means chubby in Hokkien) cause he wants her to be a chubby cat. And also it is much bigger compare to the other stray kitty. She is also always avoiding us.

After 5 weeks, still growing. Getting more social with us. The mother has gone by now.

This is another stray kitty that followed my bf home from the park. We we got her she couldn't open her left eye and was so skinny.

Attached Image
Separated from Pui because she had the flu.

Attached Image
After 1 week of antibiotic, vitamins and eye ointment. Was worried that the eye was going blind because of a white film over it.

After 5 weeks, eye is all better! Getting fatter and very manja. We named her 'Kepo', because, she is very 'kepoh'. lol.

That's all! Just want to share =)

Anyone of you hv try LV Prime BLUE for your *****? The pack looks so fancy and cheap,

I'm currently feeding my cats LV Prime Blue. So far after much experiment with other brands, I think this one is the most valued for money as it is really up to par with the usual premier cat food. 6.8kg around RM118-RM125 depending on the store. One of the pet store owners said that most of the cat in catshows eat this product too, so I decided to try on my cats. And also with such good quality, it is priced much lower because it is imported from Taiwan. Makes sense i guess. lol

Before this I've tried all whiskas, golden (selling at aeon), prodiet, blackwood and royal canine. LV is cheaper than blackwood and royal canine, but the results for my cat are evident. Within one month I can feel the fur of my short-haired tabby become very smooth and also their poo doesn't smell that strong.

Just to digress, from the lower-priced catfood, my cats often vomit when consuming whiskas and prodiet, but are okay with Golden. They are cheaper compared to whiskas too, quality a bit better. Because I have 3 cats so it's quite costly for me to just feed them LV, so I came up with a combination of half Golden + half LV everytime I feed them. Trying to stretch my money. lol.

Hope this helps though =)

My kitten fur always sticks to my shirt and body. Is there any way to reduce the amount of fur dropped? I keep feeding her kibbles. I heard from my friend said that sometimes I have to feed her wet food coz the kibble doesnt have enough water and cat doesnt drink enough water. That is why her fur drops alot,

Is it true? how frequent I should feed her?

For the water part, you can invest in a cat fountain! I bought mine for RM65+ and it can hold like 4-5 liters. My cats usually don't drink a lot, but since purchasing it I've seen them drinking from it quite often. I think maybe because it's running and not stagnant water, prolly attracted them.

how much does the golden cat food BTW? also, which aeon?

i used to feed my cat prodiet, and then a mixture of prodiet and tesco cat food, and am thinking of changing to a different brand. is there any decent cat food that costs less than RM100 for a 6/7kg pack? can't afford any premium brand so if there's no other suggestion, i'm going back to prodiet/tesco mixture for my cat.

Kepo is gorgeous, is he called that because he's well...kepo?
I like how chubby your cats are, my cats are more or less the same age but they don't seem that chubby. What do you feed them?

I didn't really take the effort to name them, when she was little she was so 'kepo', thus the name. lol
I feed them LV Prime Blue Premium Cat Food + Golden Cat food. But I think she got chubby because she's such a pig sleep.gif" Since I have three cat so I feed them with three separate bowls. She's a fast eater and if she's done with her food, she'll use her head to push away the other cats and eat from their bowl. And the other cats just like 'oh ok here u go' and moves away. I'm trying to control their diet now by feeding them just two times per day with 10-20g food each session.

whenever i get new cats, i kurung them in the toilet with litter tray in it. until they do their business. they only i release them.

hurhur one of my cats previously used the litter box really well but I don't know why suddenly she decided pooping in a litter box was too troublesome for her, and she keeps pooping and peeing just outside the litterbox. T.T now i also kurung her in the toilet as well and when she poops in the litterbox, i let her out, and the next day ... poop outside again. haih! i think she will forever be kurung in the toilet d.
