Cats need protein not carb. Pls stop her from eating bread. That is not normal.

QUOTE(pinkdalmation @ May 10 2012, 04:40 PM)
my kitten (adopted when she was 6 weeks, now she is 11 weeks) has this strange habit of eating bread. Normal ah ?

We feed her 3 times a day, mixture of wet and dry. I'm sure we are feeding her enough. But is there is bread on the table, even if it is still in the plastic she will tear the plastic until she can get the bread...

My other cat doesnt do that at all, I thought cats dont eat carbs . ...

Why don't u feed your cat until she is full then only you have your meal. That way, she won't kacau u anymore. When she meow at you or trying to peek, don't entertain her. Spray her with water. ou must teach her what is wrong with her behaviour. My cats never kacau us when we have our meal.

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ May 11 2012, 11:37 AM)
Well, I feed my cat dry food and only wet food on the weekends. However, when I'm eating, she always try to peek and meowing at me.

03 cats are FELV positive. So I must not get them in stress mode or else the domain virus in their body will start attacking their inmune system. I cannot take in anymore cats due to this.

QUOTE(beawolf64 @ May 15 2012, 02:18 PM)

Among 10 cats I have in the house, only Uteh, can play football very well. Ronaldo also kalah. He really protect his ball. He will carry the ball with his mouth. If I want him to fetch the ball, I just throw it to the air and he will catch it. He will carry the ball around in his mouth so that his friends cannot kacau his toys. I laugh everytime he did that.

QUOTE(pinkdalmation @ May 15 2012, 03:14 PM)
haha i was worried that my cat is weird or something ... but now it looks like not only my cat likes to try different food.
my kitten will carry things around the house in her mouth, but hasn't learnt to fetch

but my big cat knows how to jump onto the stool and shake hands for a treat. like a miniature lion in the circus!

My one and only cat who always kissed me when I put my nose between his nose is Peterpan. But he died due to FELV. cry.gif

Peterpan also behaved like a dog. Everytime I go near the main door with his leash, he will quickly ran to to the door. He knows his walking time is coming. I walked him with the leash on. My neighbours also love him.

QUOTE(beawolf64 @ May 15 2012, 03:45 PM)
blink.gif  you guys cat are pandai one...my cat love to kiss only....my male expertise is seek and destroy....if he find anything that he love then destroy it...my queen love to climb so nothing for me to worry about except if she jump and hit the fan lol

My Pokemon had nightmare once. I was asleep next to him. I woke up because he bite my toe. But his eyes was closed. He keep on biting my toe. I petted his head and carry him. Only then he wake up. I think he was dreaming about fish or meat and biting my toe as though my though is some sort of food tongue.gif

QUOTE(blaserjagdwaffen @ May 21 2012, 02:01 PM)
Is it normal for cats having nightmares? I've seen few occasions of my cat (male, 1yr++) whom I think, is having a nightmare, like us having one. Shaken body, mouth/whisker moved a bit, as if he's talking/meowing, and few other things that we did when we're having bad dream. Even when I tried to wake him up, he didn't awake until I have to shake him a bit harder, only then he realised he's no longer sleeping. Then he do the usual head bump ( probably thanking me for waking him up from his nightmares), and sleep silently beside me.

haha. funny cat. ;p

Very unlikely. For total indoor cats, kinda difficult but my Max can find his way home when I let him out. Since he is a neuter male cat, he didn't wander very far. Just going down to the ground floor and lepaking at my car park.

QUOTE(Mike3300 @ May 23 2012, 10:48 AM)
Last night about 8, I went out for awhile but I left the door open. My kitty, usually just peek outside and would wander around the house area. She's not used to company, whenever a person pass by she would run back to the house... but last night, after I came home. She was gone.

Can cats remember their way back home?

Ist it recently only or it has been like that all the time?? If recently your cat behave such way, I think because the weather is very hot lately. I noticed my cats drink a lot of water and eat less too. They pee more than poo.

Even the strays that I've been feed regularly need more water nowadays. I put 02 big bowl of water for them instead of their usual 01 bowl of water.

QUOTE(skeleton202 @ May 23 2012, 02:46 PM)
my cat A drink too much water but eating lesser compare to cat B and C making me always need place water outside toilet... is it normal?

Muslims can keep dog with the purpose the guard their property but not as a pet.

Most Muslims misconception that we can't hold the dog. We can't touch the dog when they are wet. We have to samak after that but not when the dog is dry. Also the need to samak if we come in contact with the saliva.

QUOTE(elblink @ May 30 2012, 06:49 PM)
How old is your kitten and how long have you been with them?

Kitten are very playful & short attention span. You have to be very patience with them.

I know of a few muslim who keeps dogs and they will samak after handling them.

Have you heard of the news of a muslim vet who came out in the open to say that this person will not stop handling pig and will always samak after handling them.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this?

Added on May 31, 2012, 12:50 pmGet a male kitten and train him. Most of the time female cats are not as lappy cat as male cat. I have 4 male cats & 6 female cats. All my female cats are not lap cat & doesn't like to be cuddle. But my male cats are totally different story. They like to be cuddle and want to berkepit with me all the time tongue.gif

Pokemon, Spot & Putih will come to me when I call them. You see, every nite they will sleep in the room with me and my husband. So when bed time, I will call out their names, they will run to us and jump into the bed laugh.gif

My late Peterpan knows is jalan jalan time if he sees me holding his leash. So he will run to the door and wait for me to bring him for a walk. I put on his leash and we will go for a walk. But he died 2 years ago and I am still thinking about him.

QUOTE(mfak0511 @ May 30 2012, 04:16 PM)
I always wanted a dog but muslim can't keep dog
thus the pet cats

how can i make my cats being loyal as dogs? right now they just recognize me as a friendly creature not an owner or a best friend. those two always play around, i can't even cuddle or handle them, just for the short period and then they lompat and continue playing. I know kittens likes to play but...hmmm

They are open if they have more booking for neutering/spaying cats/dogs. But sometimes they will closed for an event. For example, they have spay your pet programme several months ago and they going around in the designated area to neuter/spay pets/strays. They go different area everytime they have this programme/campaign. Call them first few days before to reconfirm weather they are open or not on Sat & Sun. Call Mr Krishnan at 03-4024 3446 or 012-2581041.

Are u saying you left your cat unattended while you were away?? Come on, that is irresponsible. Weather or not he is an outdoor cat, he should not be left unattended. My mum's cat are an outdoor cats too but she will ask my sister to look after them when she is away.

I am sorry if you feel offended. I have come across this type of behaviour many times and sometimes I wonder if the person who did this will ever do the same thing to their own human kids?? Owning a pet is a lifelong responsibility & similiar like having our human kids.

Your first mistake was, not sending him for neuter. He will become less agressive, more tame & won't roaming around aimless after neuter even though he is an outdoor cat.

If you are a student, don't ever think of owning a pet. You are still depending on your parents especially when comes to money. Feeding them is ok but owning them, are totally different world.

happy.gif')+Jun 11 2012, 01:47 AM-->
QUOTE(Rev (happy.gif') @ Jun 11 2012, 01:47 AM)
Calling someone irresponsible is quite rude, I must say. What you know anyway? Unless my cat was an indoor cat and we left him alone, you can call us irresponsible. He was a fierce cat, he ate everything he found outside. He's not really ours. He just come home to eat and sometimes never came home, that's all.

We usually only leave the house not more than 2 days maximum, which sometimes even the cat didn't even come home for a week, making us sure that he was an independent cat.

I do admit that I'm not really that responsible for leaving him unattended, but my problem is that my family is not that fond of cats. I know you keep your cats oh so well but you cannot compare your family and mine. It's huge difference. But AT LEAST we give stray cats outside some foods. Just think of it this way, my dad don't really like cats but I love cats a lot and because of kesian, he gave me a chance to feed the cat and play with him, nothing more than that.

I really hate it either, what I want is we keep more cats inside and make them happier, but that's just impossible because of my family. I don't have any rights to say anything since I'm the youngest one and feeding outdoor cats is considered more than enough already, for them.

C'mon, I just lost a cat. I'm not happy at all. I'm sorry but your words have offended me. I'm in TEARS when writing this. I love him a lot, even when our times together was too short. It's just too painful knowing he's gone. At least you should be more sensitive.

I do hope I can be more responsible when I get older. I realize I'm just a hopeless kid now.

Just saying. Different people different opinion. Here hoping other cat lovers here don't attack me. No need to add my sadness and guilt.  shakehead.gif

I know you don't own him. I am making a statement for everybody to read especially students.

Well, once you got your already working and financially independent, you can contribute to animal welfare like most of us does here. Probably by then your parents will change their heart.

happy.gif')+Jun 11 2012, 12:51 PM-->
QUOTE(Rev (happy.gif') @ Jun 11 2012, 12:51 PM)
Own him? I didn't own him. He came to my house looking hungry, I can't just leave him starve. Like other cats, he will come back for more. I can't avoid that. If I want to avoid it I must see him go away feeling disappointed. I can't see that. But I never blame him for that.

Neuter? Of course my family wouldn't bother no matter what I said.

Yeah, I HATE it either, as much as you hate it. I do understand. I don't want my parents to be like this. Of course I want that cat and all other cats in this world to have a better life.

Well, I guess I'll stop here..

Yes, then ask the vet. He gave medicine to the cat. Looking at the medicine, seems your cat have bacteria infection or food poisioning. Apart from that, we don't know because we didn't examine the cat.

Dude, you asked a very difficult question. Nobody examine your cat beside the vet. How do we answer your question? Why didn't you ask the vet when he/she examine the cat?? Really, we don't sit in this forum to answer this kind of difficult question.

QUOTE(mfak0511 @ Jun 11 2012, 01:02 PM)

Nothing's wrong. It is just that I found that your question is funny. It should be directed to the vet who treated her. Do not opt for home remedy without knowing the real sickness of the cat. That is why I said ASK THE VET WHEN SHE WAS TREATED.

QUOTE(mfak0511 @ Jun 11 2012, 01:07 PM)
then shut up i guess

GOD what is your problem?

my kitten is not dying, just loose stool and vomitting

will definitely bring her to the vet again if this continue

all I asking is what am i suppose to do to make her better while she's progressing.

What is wrong with you really?

Added on June 11, 2012, 1:08 pmFYI, we can't be at the vet's side 24/7

am I right?
