sigh.. why does cat pee on bed? Is it a territorial problem? It's a male cat btw sad.gif

Will I solve this issue if I got him neutered?
*
if you neuter before adult, i mean before they go on heat, yes this will solve your problem. but once they become territorial and on heat session, it will happen.

if this pee keep getting more and more, i mean all around your home.. then u need a vet, it can be a health problem..

but if thats the spot, u need to check out things like the litter box location. cats are very fussy... mine need to clean 3 times a day.. if its full, my cats will TAHAN.. tahan that pee and poo is not good, once they cant stand anymore, they pee every where in the house. doh.gif

if u have many cats, get more litter box.. again they are really fussy.

if u have many cats, get to know each other, some cat always got bully, sampai kencing pun takut, and they start making your things as a litter box.

in your case your cat is on heat... he is on stress mode... no women i cannot tahan ahahahah....

wash you mattress... fabreze till there's no smell... he will stop doing that business there... trust me, its very hard if its come to pee... i prefer poop lol tongue.gif

haha  you cannot stop cat doing that... cats will never listen to you. they are not dogs to receive command tongue.gif

kitten normally will be that notty jumper and trying something new. look at my house.. no nice accessories LOL.. why? because my cats like to do something with it till it break. ahaha.. so my house is not a fancy nice look house with expensive accessories tongue.gif

adults are not that notty, but they can understand when u dont like what they r doing. if they go to one spot, and it is "no cat" area, just move them away.. repeating this they will understand...

lol....really look the same... wub.gif
good looking....but notty like sial....doh.gif

nowadays he likes to jump here n there up to our sofa...if jump nicely, im ok la....but he use his claws to grab hold of him....my poor leather sofa.... cry.gif

how to stop this behavior?
*
my cats used to scratch my sofa, until I provided scratching pads then they stopped. rclxm9.gif

you can either buy one, or make one yourself.
I find that my cats prefer cardboard ones. take a look here at what I made http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1...05590344&type=3
you can sprinkle some catnip over it to make it more appealing

to stop the cat from scratching the sofa, yell "no" or spray a bit of water to punish him. then praise him when he uses the scratching pad

and you can keep his nails short and blunt so the scratching won't be so bad

yes it's very simple. just have to beware of cats suddenly sitting/sleeping on the sheets of cardboard and refuse to move tongue.gif

tips:
-you can sprinkle catnip onto it to make the cats love it more, but you'll have to cut out a base and stick to the bottom so the herbs won't fall through the holes onto the floor
-make it big enough for the whole cat to stand on. if it's too small, the cat's hind legs will be on the floor while the front legs are on the pad, making it very hard to scratch because the pad will slide around

and cats seem to like DIY stuff better haha

my litter box also DIY. just bought a cheap plastic storage box(cheaper better because the plastic is soft and easier to cut) and cut a 'door' on one side. I prefer it over store-bought because the sides are very high (prevent litter from flying out), and no need a cover (imagine going into a very stuffy toilet with tiny windows...eww)

I just used normal glue, the type in a big bottle with a plastic spreader on the lid. maybe the cardboard you're using is very thick and hard, if that's the case, making it rectangular would be easier

if you want to be on the safe side, either buy the non-toxic type of glue, or make your own using flour and water
